Pain in the left abdomen when inhaling

Pain in the left abdomen when inhaling

The internal structure of the human body is very complex, especially the internal organs. The various organs are closely connected. If you feel pain in the left abdomen when you inhale, this is what is commonly known as "stuck in the side". Do not exhale forcefully at this time, but stay relaxed and keep each organ static. Press the top of the stomach with your thumb to relieve the pain as much as possible. Avoid getting cold and wet, and drink more soup to warm your stomach. Here are some solutions.

If breathing causes pain, then it is possible that you have a stitch in the side. In medicine, a stitch in the side is called acute chest and rib pain. It is usually caused by intense activity that tenses the muscles while the internal organs are still static, resulting in pain. It is caused by muscle spasms, etc. You can use Fuyuan Tongqi Powder or Muxiang Shunqi Pills, etc. Massage is also helpful.

Breathing can't hurt the stomach. If there is pain, you still need to consider gastritis or colon inflammation. Use some anti-inflammatory drugs to treat it first. At the same time, pay attention to the location of the pain. The upper left abdomen is the stomach, the lower left colon, and the left side of the navel belongs to the left flexure of the colon. See which part of the pain corresponds to the local inflammation.

If you feel pain in the left abdomen when inhaling, you should consider the possibility of radiating pain. Of course, you cannot rule out the possibility of lung disease. It is best to have a chest X-ray and abdominal B-ultrasound examination as soon as possible. After ruling out the possibility of pneumothorax, abdominal organ disease, etc., there is no need to worry.

Pain is usually caused by noxious stimuli that result in tissue damage. External factors: Mechanical stimulation such as cutting with a knife or hitting with a stick, physical and chemical factors such as electric current, high temperature, strong acid and strong alkali can all become harmful stimuli. Internal factors: When diseases such as cancer cause inflammation or damage to tissue cells, biologically active substances such as potassium ions, 5-hydroxytryptamine, acetylcholine, bradykinin, histamine, etc. released into the extracellular fluid can also cause pain or hyperalgesia. Other factors: pain occurs after exposure to cold, moisture, overwork and prolonged improper working posture. Pathology: The free nerve endings with the lowest degree of differentiation in the skin and related tissues throughout the body act as nociceptors, converting harmful stimuli in various energy forms into nerve impulses with certain coded patterns. These impulses are transmitted along the slowly conducted, thinner myelinated and thinnest unmyelinated afferent nerve fibers through the dorsal root ganglia to the relevant neurons in the dorsal horn of the spinal cord or the trigeminal spinal nucleus, and then transmitted through the contralateral ventrolateral cord to the higher-level pain center - the thalamus, other brain areas and cerebral cortex, causing the sensation and reaction of pain. At the same time, non-pain information such as touch and pressure transmitted by fast-conducting afferent nerve fibers with a larger diameter has already reached the relevant brain areas of the central nervous system and interacts with the pain information transmitted by the thin fibers.
