How is royal jelly extracted

Honey has a very good effect on beautifying the human body and promoting bowel movements, so many women who love beauty drink a glass of honey water every day to achieve a detoxifying effect. Honey is mainly a kind of nectar brewed by bees, but royal jelly has more nutritional value than honey, so the price of royal jelly is much higher than that of honey. But how is royal jelly, which has high nutritional value, extracted?

First, let me tell you about the process of collecting royal jelly. Because the queen bee grows and develops in the royal cell before she is born, the worker bees secrete royal jelly in the royal cell to cultivate the queen bee. Based on this habit of bees, beekeepers simulated and imitated many "fake royal cells". They moved the female larvae from the worker bee rooms into the "fake royal cells" and put them into the beehive, allowing the worker bees to secrete royal jelly into them. When the royal jelly in the fake royal cells reaches a certain amount, the beekeepers use special tools to take out the royal jelly and immediately freeze it for preservation.

Next, I will reveal to you the origin of this "fake king platform". The queen cell, also called the queen cell, is the nest built by worker bees to cultivate the queen bee. It has a rough surface, like a peanut shell. Queen cells are divided into natural queen cells and artificial queen cells. What we see most now are artificial queen cells, which are designed to speed up the reproduction of the bee colony and thus produce more honey. Artificial queen cells are made of beeswax or plastic, so they are also called "fake queen cells". The "fake" here is relative to "natural" and does not imply that there is a problem with its quality. To make a "fake queen cell", you have to dig out the honeycombs one by one, which is not easy.

The queen bee reproduces by laying eggs every day from spring to autumn. She can lay about 2,000 eggs in a day and night. The total weight of the eggs laid daily can exceed the queen bee's own weight. The queen bee's amazing egg-laying ability is a miracle in the biological world, and the queen bee relies on constantly eating royal jelly to maintain its egg-laying ability. This shows that royal jelly plays an important role in promoting metabolism.

Let's talk about the pulp production process in detail.

1. First, you must place the "fake queen cells" into the bee colony 1-2 days in advance to allow the worker bees to become familiar with and clean their own "territory". Then, the eggs laid by the female queen bee, which are early worker bee larvae, are sucked out through a straw and placed in their "new territory."

2. Install the royal platform frame onto the wooden frame.

3. Wear protective gear, and after you are fully armed, place the newly laid queen cell into the beehive.

4. After being fed by the bees, the bees basically start to produce honey on the third day after the insects are transferred. Lift the royal jelly frame from the bee colony, shake off the bees on it, and use a sharp knife to cut off the extended royal cell wall.

5. After cleaning, use tweezers to take out the queen larvae one by one and separate the royal jelly from the larvae. This job is quite delicate and one has to protect the lives of the larvae and not treat them roughly. If the larvae are accidentally cut or pinched, take out the royal jelly in the tube and pack it separately.

These royal bee embryos live in royal jelly since childhood, which is a rare tonic. It can be added to scrambled eggs, cooked in soup, and soaked in wine. Don’t think it is disgusting! It is more delicious than shrimp! These little lives are the natural products of the bee colony’s reproduction. Royal bee fetuses, also known as bee brood and bee larvae, are embryonic nutrient bodies that develop from the time when bee eggs hatch and before the larvae become pupae by absorbing a large amount of royal jelly. They are noble and nourishing food containing high protein, multiple vitamins and trace elements. They were tribute to the court in ancient times and have a strong therapeutic effect on neurasthenia and female endocrine disorders. In the first Chinese pharmacopoeia, "Shennong's Herbal Classic", it is listed as a top-grade medicine, "with a mild taste, slightly cold, non-toxic, and can replenish deficiency and injury. Long-term use can make people radiant, improve complexion, stay young, and lighten the body and benefit the qi."

6. Use a royal jelly extraction pen to take out the royal jelly and place it in a bottle.

7. After taking out the queen frame, clean it with special tools.

To a certain extent, the number of "fake king towers" built determines the output.

In nature, a bee colony consists of thousands to tens of thousands of bees, consisting of a queen bee, a small number of drones and numerous worker bees. The queen bee is 1/3 longer than the worker bee, has a longer abdomen with a stinger at the end, and no wax glands under the abdomen. The queen bee mates while flying and only mates once or several times within a certain period of time in her life. After mating, the male bee's penis breaks and it dies soon after. The queen bee stores sperm in the spermatheca, which can be used to fertilize eggs throughout her life. 2-3 days after mating, the queen bee begins to lay eggs. Once she has laid eggs, she will not generally leave the hive except in the event of natural swarming. When the bees swarm, the old queen bee only takes away a few bees, leaving more bees for the new queen bee. The queen bee lives in the hive for 3-5 years. Because the reproductive rate of old queen bees gradually decreases, they are often artificially eliminated in the beekeeping industry.

Pure royal jelly may be as precious as gold. Modern research shows that royal jelly is rich in protein, more than 21 kinds of amino acids, more than 16 kinds of vitamins, multiple enzymes, polypeptide growth factors, iron, manganese, zinc trace elements and other active ingredients. These substances are necessary nutrients for human growth, development and metabolism, and are easily absorbed. In addition, fresh royal jelly is milky white or light yellow, with consistent color from top to bottom and shiny.

Bee products are all treasures. The dried impurities collected from outside the queen cells can also be used to make beeswax.
