There are always some small accidents in life that make us inevitably get injured, and serious injuries will leave wounds on the surface of the body. After getting a wound, everyone must pay attention to their diet and avoid letting the wound get wet, otherwise the wound will heal very slowly. When the wound slowly scars, it means that the wound is about to heal, but what is the reason for redness and swelling around the wound after the scar is formed? After the wound scars, the surrounding area becomes red and swollen. If accompanied by symptoms such as itching, no pain, and abnormal secretions, it may be caused by allergies. First of all, you should stay away from allergens and avoid eating spicy food, seafood and other foods that are prone to cause allergies. You can apply glucocorticoid ointment topically. In addition, you can also use vitamin C and calcium gluconate to relieve allergic symptoms. If the redness and swelling around the scar is accompanied by pain and abnormal secretions, consider the possibility of infection under the scab. First, you should soak it repeatedly in saline to soften it, then peel off the scar on the surface, collect the secretions, do bacterial culture and drug sensitivity tests, and choose sensitive antibiotics for use. At the same time, remove the inactivated and necrotic tissue inside, repeatedly rinse it with hydrogen peroxide, saline and iodine, and strengthen dressing changes. If the cavity is deep, it can be filled with vaseline gauze. If the granulation tissue becomes fresh after testing, you can use high sugar or Beifuji to spray it to promote wound healing. The wound healing process basically takes two to three weeks. During normal healing, scabs will form. If the area around the wound continues to be red, swollen, hot and painful after the scab forms, it is a symptom of infection, which is mostly caused by improper wound care. The wound should be cleaned immediately. If there is only slight redness around the scab, it is a normal phenomenon of the wound and there is no need to worry too much. Redness, swelling and scabs around the wound After a wound occurs, if the wound is contaminated with anti-inflammatory powder or other ointments without timely cleaning and disinfection, the wound will be forced to form a scab during the inflammatory response period. The inflammation is not eliminated, and a layer of black scab covers the wound, which will cause the wound to become purulent and infected. Its physiological characteristics are persistent redness, swelling, heat and pain around the wound. You should go to the hospital immediately and ask the doctor to clean the wound (if the wound is deep, you need to make an incision or set a drainage strip), eliminate the internal inflammation, expose the wound, and follow the doctor's orders to use regular medicines such as wound healing prescriptions to promote wound healing. Redness will also occur as the wound heals normally The normal healing process of a wound can be divided into the inflammatory phase, granulation phase and epithelial phase, which usually lasts about two to three weeks. As the wound recovers, the subcutaneous tissue, muscle tissue, nerves and blood vessels are repaired, and a normal scab will appear. Normal scabs are characterized by exudate, no pus, and no water-like fluctuation when pressing around the wound or under the scab. At this time, there may be slight redness around the wound, which is normal. The wound will itch, which is a sign that the wound is healing, so there is no need to worry. At this time, you should pay attention to keeping the wound dry and clean, and never let your guard down to avoid wound infection. Do not use topical medications at will to avoid contaminating the wound and causing it to worsen again. Although the wound is itchy, you can gently scratch the skin around the wound to relieve the itching. Remember not to scratch the wound directly. Wait for the scab to fall off naturally, do not peel it off forcibly. The scab will fall off naturally after the wound is completely healed. Forcibly peeling it off will cause the wound to be exposed again and cause inflammation. During the nursing process, do not use strong irritating disinfectants such as hydrogen peroxide, iodine, alcohol, etc. to irritate the wound. |
