Can laryngeal cancer be transmitted through the blood?

Is laryngeal cancer contagious? Having laryngeal cancer is troublesome and distressing in itself, and you also have to worry about whether it will be transmitted to your family. Many cancer patients and their relatives have asked this question: Is cancer contagious? Let's take a closer look at this issue.

Cancer cells in the patient's body are a group of abnormal cells that have lost control and grow in an invasive manner. They not only destroy adjacent normal tissues and organs, but can also spread to all parts of the body through lymphatics and blood circulation, absorb a large amount of nutrients, grow and proliferate rapidly, and cause systemic failure of the patient until death.

Cancer cells can not only spread or metastasize everywhere in the patient's body, but they can also be transmitted from one person to another like bacteria and viruses. To oneself, other people's cancer cells are a kind of foreign body. When the body's immune rejection ability is strong, it can destroy the cancer cells. Therefore, other people's cancer cells cannot survive in one's body. But when the body's immune rejection ability is low, it cannot destroy the cancer cells, and other people's cancer cells can survive in one's body.

Laryngeal cancer is not contagious. Laryngeal cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the larynx. It is not a type of disease caused by a certain pathogen (bacteria, viruses, rickettsia, spirochetes, parasites, etc.) that is transmitted between people, animals, or between people and animals. The main routes of cancer transmission are blood metastasis, lymph metastasis, and implantation metastasis. This normal contact will not transmit cancer, so there is no need to worry about it. Therefore, laryngeal cancer is not contagious and will not be transmitted.
