Before the onset of esophageal cancer, most patients have no symptoms, but some suddenly feel difficulty eating, choking, and feel that the esophagus is blocked, as if there is a breath pressing on the esophagus. After a period of choking, the symptoms disappear without treatment. Some symptoms like this occur once every few days, and sometimes once every few months. Before the onset of the disease, most people have a history of anger or sadness, and the symptoms get worse day by day. When eating, they feel uncomfortable in the esophagus. At the beginning of the disease, eating steamed buns and meat is very serious. Later, the condition gradually worsens, and swallowing becomes more serious. Generally, only thin soup noodles, egg custard and other watery foods can be eaten. Only when swallowing such food, it feels smooth and comfortable. The patient gradually loses weight. When the disease develops to the most serious level, even water cannot be swallowed, the diaphragm is blocked and the diaphragm is blocked, and there is a lump. At this time, some patients feel chronic pain when swallowing (most patients do not feel pain), and there is a feeling of dryness and tightness in the throat. Some people also feel heavy back, belching, and stuffiness in the eyes, throat, and chest. There are three different parts (segments) of esophageal cancer: upper, middle, and lower. The symptoms in each part are also different. Some patients feel slow pain when eating in the early stage, and the food is not smooth and choking, and most patients show obvious symptoms. Some patients can eat and drink in the late stage, and the feeling of choking is not serious. There is no pain behind the chest bone when swallowing. Some patients feel pain when eating rough and irritating food; while the pain is lighter when eating liquid and soft food, and the pain disappears after eating. Some patients begin to feel chest pain, belching, and loss of appetite. Most esophageal cancer patients gradually lose weight and become thin. Some patients have constipation and some patients have scanty stools, but there are not many such patients. Some patients feel that their esophagus is scratched when eating, and there is a feeling that something is left in the esophagus. Some patients feel that the esophageal opening has become smaller and the food is very slow to go down, just like the food is staying in the esophagus, and when drinking water alone, the downward movement is also very slow. Some patients vomit blood and blood clots when cancer pain breaks out, and some have mucus and clear water. Some patients have stools that look like black oily mud. In the late stage of cancer, they cannot drink water, their esophagus is blocked, and they are thirsty and drool. Some patients have cancer that penetrates the trachea and invades the nerves, causing changes in their voices and coughing. In some patients, the cancer that metastasizes to the neck lymph nodes compresses the nerves in the arms, which can also cause the upper limbs to be unable to move and pain when raising the arms. |
