What should I do if the conjunctival sac in the eye becomes inflamed?

Eyes are the part that people pay the most attention to, because the role of eyes is very critical to everyone. Eyes can help people see the specific appearance of things and help people process the information they see. However, the eyes are also prone to disease. For example, the conjunctiva is a very fragile tissue, and inflammation often causes great pain to people. Let's take a look at what to do if the conjunctival sac becomes inflamed?

Conjunctival sac The sac-like space formed by the conjunctiva is called the conjunctival sac. In layman's terms, it is the gap between the eyelid and the eyeball. For example, when you pull the lower eyelid outward, a pocket-like space called the conjunctival sac is formed.

The conjunctiva is a thin and transparent mucous tissue that covers the back of the eyelid and the front of the eyeball. It is divided into the palpebral conjunctiva, bulbar conjunctiva, and fornix conjunctiva. The sac-like space formed by the conjunctiva is called the conjunctival sac. If the palpebral fissure is the opening and the cornea is the base, the conjunctiva is just a sac, namely the conjunctival sac. The depth of the conjunctival sac in different positions is not equal. It is deeper above and on the temporal side, especially above the temporal side, and shallower on the nasal side. In the case of trauma, surgery and other conditions, bacteria in the conjunctival sac may cause endophthalmitis.

First, before use, check the name of the medicine, check the dosage required, make sure the medicine is within the shelf life, and then check for discoloration, odor, turbidity, etc. If the preparation itself is turbid, shake it gently before use to ensure consistent concentration of the medicine.

Second, after preparing the medicine, wash your hands immediately to avoid bacterial infection during use.

Third, before use, you should gently tilt your head back and look toward the top of your head. This is to avoid dropping the eye drops on the black ball of the eye when possible, thereby reducing irritation to the cornea.

In addition, before preparing to drip, use your index finger to pull down the lower eyelid to expose the conjunctival sac, then use your middle finger to press the nasolacrimal duct between the inside of the nose and the corner of the eye to prevent it from being absorbed into the mouth. Keep your mouth open when dripping to maintain the posture. Hold the eye drops with your other hand, keep it suspended one to two centimeters above the eye, and drop it into the lower eyelid. After dropping, pull the lower eyelid down and gently close your eyes. Do not squeeze your eyes or rub your eyes due to irritation after dropping the eye drops. Just close your eyes gently for 5 minutes. If you want to use a second eye drop, it is recommended to wait for more than 10 minutes and then repeat the above steps.
