Which groups of people are prone to cervical spondylosis

Which groups of people are prone to cervical spondylosis

The survey shows that in addition to the middle-aged and elderly, the high-risk groups for cervical spondylosis are the following:

① People who work at desks for a long time due to their occupations, such as office copywriters, typists, editors, writers, teachers, accountants, embroidery workers, operating room medical staff, drivers, etc. These people work in a fixed posture for a long time, which can easily cause strain on the posterior cervical muscles, ligaments and other tissues, or local strain caused by the head and neck often leaning to one side, so the incidence of cervical spondylosis is higher in these people.

② People with bad living habits, such as playing mahjong, playing poker, and watching TV for a long time, these bad living habits can easily keep the cervical spine in a flexed state for a long time, causing overload of the muscles and ligaments behind the neck and causing strain.

③ People with improper sleeping posture. About 1/3 of a person's life is spent in bed. When the pillow is too high, too low or in the wrong position, it is easy to cause imbalance of paravertebral muscles, ligaments and joints. The side with high tension is prone to fatigue and produces different degrees of strain. Therefore, people who like to sleep with high pillows and those with a history of repeated "stiff neck" are prone to cervical spondylosis. In addition, people who keep their heads in a single position for a long time when lying down to read or watch TV are also prone to cervical spondylosis.

④ Those with trauma and congenital cervical deformity. Cervical injuries caused by traffic accidents and sports injuries often induce cervical spondylosis. In addition, those with congenital cervical deformity such as congenital spinal stenosis and congenital cone fusion are also prone to cervical spondylosis.
