What are the symptoms of mid- to late-stage colon cancer

Symptoms of advanced colon cancer include:

①Symptoms of poisoning. Due to tumor ulceration, blood loss and toxin absorption, patients often experience anemia, low fever, fatigue, weight loss, edema and other symptoms, among which anemia and weight loss are particularly prominent.

② Manifestations of intestinal obstruction. Symptoms of incomplete or complete low-position intestinal obstruction, such as abdominal distension, abdominal pain (distension or colic), and constipation. During physical examination, abdominal bulge, local tenderness, and strong bowel sounds can be seen.

③ Abdominal mass. It is a mass that is infiltrated and adhered to the tumor or the omentum and surrounding tissues. It is hard, irregular in shape, and has a certain degree of mobility. In the late stage, the tumor infiltration is more severe and the mass can be fixed.

④ Late stage symptoms: There are signs of liver metastasis such as jaundice, ascites, edema, and cachexia, a mass in the anterior rectal fossa, and enlarged supraclavicular lymph nodes, which are manifestations of distant tumor metastasis.
