Traditional Chinese medicine prescription for treating colorectal cancer

Fang Yi

Symptoms: severe lower abdominal pain, stool with pus, blood and mucus, tenesmus, constipation or loose stools, dark red tongue or with ecchymosis, thin yellow tongue coating, and stringy and rapid pulse.

Treatment method: Remove blood stasis and detoxify, stop bleeding and relieve pain.

Prescription: Gexia Zhuyu Decoction with modifications.

Chinese medicine: 9 grams of Angelica sinensis, 12 grams of red peony root, 9 grams of peach kernel, 9 grams of safflower, 6 grams of costusroot, 6 grams of Coptis chinensis, 15 grams of red vine, 30 grams of Pulsatilla striata, 12 grams of Trillium, 12 grams of Curcuma zedoaria, and 12 grams of Citrus aurantium.

Fang Er

Symptoms: Abdominal pain and distension. Patients with intestinal obstruction have intermittent abdominal pain, refusal to press, fatigue, loss of appetite, dry mouth and bitter taste.

Treatment method: Remove blood stasis and detoxify, fight cancer and relieve pain.

Prescription: 30 grams of Hedyotis diffusa, 30 grams of Red Clove, 30 grams of Cortex Ophiopogonis, 30 grams of Astragalus, 30 grams of Coix seed, 15 grams of Solanum nigrum, 15 grams of Carapace of Turtle, 12 grams of Cortex Moutan, 9 grams of Rhubarb, 10 grams of Corydalis, 9 grams of Citrus aurantium, 5 grams of Codonopsis pilosula, and 20 grams of Prunella Vulgaris.

Fang San

Symptoms: Patients with spleen deficiency and dampness-toxicity type have sallow complexion, difficulty eating, loss of appetite, weight loss, abdominal pain or anal soreness, thick bloody mucus in the stool, frequent bowel movements, thin or flat stools or tenesmus, pale tongue, thin and greasy tongue coating, and slippery and rapid pulse.

Treatment method: Strengthen the spleen and eliminate dampness, detoxify and fight cancer.

Prescription: 30 grams each of Prince ginseng, Coix seed, Poria cocos, and Chinese yam, 20 grams of Portulaca oleracea, 20 grams of Patrinia herb, 40 grams of Sanguisorba officinalis charcoal, 30 grams of Agrimoniae, 25 grams of Rubia cordifolia, and 20 grams of Sophora japonica charcoal.
