Two methods of early detection of bladder cancer

Intermittent painless hematuria is a common early symptom of bladder cancer and is easily ignored by patients. In addition, inflammatory diseases of the urinary tract, tuberculosis, stones, foreign bodies, urinary tract obstruction and other lesions can all cause hematuria. Therefore, a scientific and systematic examination is needed to rule out the possibility of bladder cancer.

The simplest test for bladder cancer is the three-cup urine test, which observes the specific time when hematuria appears during the entire urination process. Based on the different time of hematuria, the approximate location of the lesion of urinary system diseases can be determined. If hematuria appears at the end of urination, it often indicates that the lesion is in the bladder, and painless hematuria is an early warning of bladder cancer. When this happens, further examination of the bladder should be performed.

B-ultrasound examination is convenient, painless, and inexpensive, and has diagnostic value for early tumors with a diameter of more than 0.5 cm. In addition, patients with positive B-ultrasound results can also undergo further urine sediment cytology examinations and bladder tumor serum marker examinations, which are helpful for auxiliary diagnosis of bladder cancer.
