Four key points in nursing patients with advanced liver cancer

Liver cancer is very harmful to people's health. After diagnosis, appropriate treatment measures need to be taken in time to reduce the impact of the disease on the patient. In the late stage of liver cancer, more attention should be paid not only to treatment, but also to daily care:

1. Pay attention to the protection of the liver area

Patients with liver cancer should strictly avoid using gravity to press the liver, which must be avoided to prevent liver rupture and massive liver bleeding.

2. Pay attention to maintaining a good mental state

This is also an important condition for liver cancer recovery. Patients should pay attention to overcoming their own psychological barriers and not always harbor fear. Family members should also pay attention to comforting liver cancer patients and giving them the courage and support to overcome pessimism and fear, so that patients can actively treat the disease, establish the determination to defeat the disease, maintain physical and mental happiness, and rest assured to recuperate.

3. Pay attention to protein supplementation

If the patient shows signs of hepatic coma, attention should be paid to limiting protein supplementation. If the patient develops edema and ascites, the sodium salt and fluid intake should be controlled, and a salt-free or low-salt diet should be adopted. Food is also a very important prevention and treatment method.

4. Eat a light diet

Patients should be careful not to eat overly irritating foods. They should mainly eat light foods, supplement vitamins by eating more fresh vegetables, and supplement with an appropriate amount of high-quality protein. High-fat foods should be consumed in moderation and in small quantities. Crude fiber foods should be avoided to avoid puncturing varicose esophageal veins and vomiting blood.
