It is very helpful to sleep if you don’t think about anything and feel comfortable. So what should you do if you can’t fall asleep at night?

1. Self-association method: imagine a beautiful scene

When it's time to go to bed, lie down and stop thinking about random things. Close your eyes and imagine a vast universe in your mind (or you can choose something you like). There is nothing in this universe, only countless shining stars. You look at these stars and feel that they are so beautiful... just look at them slowly... and before you know it, you fall asleep.

2. Food to help you sleep: hot milk, lily, millet, etc.

You can drink a cup of hot milk before going to bed, but don't drink foods or drinks such as coffee and green tea before going to bed that may excite the brain. You can add some sleep-promoting foods to your dinner.

3. Self-protection method: hug a pillow

Some people have difficulty falling asleep due to a serious lack of security. When they sleep, they like to hide in the quilt or use other methods to hide themselves. In such cases, when there is no quilt, you can try hugging a pillow or a stuffed toy. If you are afraid of the dark, put a night light next to your bed.

4. Books and movies to help you sleep: Choose a book or movie that you think is boring

If you really can't fall asleep while lying in bed, you can prepare a book that you don't like or is extremely boring and read it carefully at the bedside. For example, I hate reading history books the most. I want to sleep after reading a few pages carefully. Or you may watch some movies with extremely slow pace and monotonous plot, and you may feel so sleepy while watching them.

5. Exercise to help you sleep: Do moderate exercise a few hours before going to bed

For people who have difficulty falling asleep for a long time, exercise is a very good method. Doing yoga, jogging, skipping rope, and playing badminton are all very good choices, but remember not to do too intense exercise.
