Discover the symptoms of ovarian cancer early to avoid metastasis

Ovarian cancer is a relatively serious gynecological tumor disease that causes great harm to women's health. So, what are the main symptoms of ovarian cancer? Today, let the experts tell us in detail about the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

Common complications of ovarian cancer include tumor rupture, bleeding, secondary infection, anemia, cancerous intestinal infarction and colic caused by tumor invasion of the intestinal wall. Due to the rapid growth of ovarian cancer, patients show obvious weight loss, severe anemia and other advanced symptoms. However, it may be in the middle and late stages at this time, which has increased the difficulty of treatment, so it is very important to detect the symptoms of ovarian cancer in time. The main symptoms of ovarian cancer are:

1. Lump. Fixation is one of the characteristics of ovarian malignant tumors. Early and metastatic ovarian tumors such as Krugenberg tumor are exceptions.

2. Bilateral lower abdominal masses. According to statistics, 75% of patients have malignant ovarian tumors grow bilaterally, while only 15% have benign ovarian tumors grow bilaterally.

3. Ascites. Although benign ovarian tumors such as fibroids or papillary cystadenomas can also be complicated by ascites, malignant ovarian tumors are more likely to be complicated by ascites. In addition, because the malignant tumor cells have penetrated the tumor wall or have metastasized to the peritoneum (visual observation or microscopic examination), the ascites is often bloody.

3. Malignant infiltration. The most common case is an advanced malignant ovarian tumor fixed in one side of the pelvic cavity, which causes infiltration and compression around the local blood vessels, obstructing the venous return of the lower limb on that side and forming edema. If the intestinal tract is compressed by malignant infiltration, it will cause intestinal infarction symptoms; if the ureter is compressed, it often forms hydronephrosis

4. Malignant metastasis is also one of the symptoms of ovarian cancer. The metastasis and growth of ovarian tumors, like malignant tumors in other parts, can spread directly through lymphatics and blood. However, direct spread metastasis is the main method, mostly directly metastasizing to the pelvic and abdominal tissues and organs, or metastasizing to the greater omentum and mesentery, forming multiple nodular masses in the abdominal cavity with a certain degree of mobility; or metastasizing to the pelvic floor peritoneum. During the palpation of the vaginal urethra, multiple papillary protrusions can be felt in the uterine rectal fossa, or even penetrating the pelvic organs to form sinuses, and pus and bleeding with cancerous tissue are discharged from the rectum, vagina or urethra. In recent years, it has been found that the lymph node metastasis rate of ovarian malignant tumors is as high as 50p, and even metastases to the left supraclavicular lymph nodes or vulva, so it has received attention in the diagnosis and treatment of ovarian malignant tumors.
