Nasopharyngeal cancer is more likely to affect people with qi deficiency

Nasopharyngeal cancer is a common and disgusting tumor. It has a very high incidence rate in Guangdong, China. Research on the population susceptible to nasopharyngeal cancer has never stopped. According to current research results, middle-aged men are the most susceptible to nasopharyngeal cancer. However, recent clinical investigations have found that people with qi deficiency are also susceptible to nasopharyngeal cancer.

Dong Province has conducted several nasopharyngeal cancer case surveys and found that nasopharyngeal cancer patients have obvious family clustering. Since 2005, researchers have screened 17 local nasopharyngeal cancer high-risk families for follow-up research. These 17 high-risk families all have more than two nasopharyngeal cancer patients. After three years of follow-up, 50 people were found to be ill, some of whom were new cases in the middle of the study. Therefore, families with a history of nasopharyngeal cancer have also become a group prone to nasopharyngeal cancer.

"In the follow-up investigation, it was found that the nasopharyngeal cancer patients in these families were mainly of the Qi-deficient constitution in traditional Chinese medicine, and they all showed fatigue, fear of cold and sweating. The tongue was pale and fat, and there were tooth marks on both sides of the tongue." The researchers said that this constitution is related to family inheritance. For example, in a high-cancer family investigated, the mother died of nasopharyngeal cancer. Among the seven brothers and sisters in the second generation, three had Qi-deficient constitutions, and two of them also had nasopharyngeal cancer.

Experts agree that people with qi deficiency are more likely to get nasopharyngeal cancer. "Although there is no special statistics in clinical practice, Chinese medicine believes that qi deficiency leads to phlegm obstruction, and phlegm heat and stasis accumulate in the nasal cavity, blocking the meridians, and over time, nasopharyngeal cancer will form."

Research on people who are prone to nasopharyngeal cancer tells us that to prevent nasopharyngeal cancer, we must pay attention to our own conditions and accurately determine whether we are among the people who are prone to nasopharyngeal cancer so that we can better take correct preventive measures.
