Causes of cervical tumors

Cervical cancer is the most common benign tumor of the female reproductive system and a common disease that endangers women's health. Let us now understand the causes of cervical cancer to help women take preventive measures.

Cervical tumors mostly occur between the ages of 35 and 50. According to statistics, about 20% of women over 35 years old have uterine tumors, but most patients fail to detect them because the tumors are small and asymptomatic. Clinically reported tumor incidence rates are only between 4% and 11%. At present, the cause of cervical tumors is still unknown. However, according to a large number of clinical observations and experimental results, it is proved that the tumor is a tumor that depends on estrogen for growth.

The main causes of cervical cancer are as follows:

(i) Occasionally seen in women after menarche, more common in middle-aged women, after menopause, the tumors usually stop growing and gradually shrink;

(ii) Tumors are often complicated by endometrial hyperplasia;

(iii) Patients with ovarian granulosa cell tumors and theca cell tumors (which can secrete estrogen) often have concurrent uterine tumors;

(iv) During pregnancy, estrogen levels increase and tumors often grow rapidly;

(V) Exogenous estrogen can accelerate tumor growth.

The above is an introduction to the causes of cervical tumors. Experts remind that cervical tumors are known as the first gynecological tumor. They are a common gynecological disease in adult women and are also the most common benign tumors. Cervical tumors are harmful to women's bodies, so most women are very concerned about the causes of cervical tumors.
