Will rhinitis turn into nasopharyngeal cancer?

Will rhinitis turn into nasopharyngeal cancer?

1. The incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is obviously regional, with higher incidence rates in southern my country and Southeast Asia. Rhinitis is a chronic inflammation of the nasal cavity, a common and frequently occurring disease in nasal medicine, with nasal congestion, runny nose, and headache as the main manifestations, and it rarely becomes malignant.

2. Allergic rhinitis, which is what we usually call allergic rhinitis, refers to the itchy nose, paroxysmal sneezing, watery nasal discharge, nasal congestion, and often accompanied by itchy eyes, ears, and throat after contact with allergens. The treatment should be to avoid contact with allergens, try to find the allergens, and avoid contact with them. Allergic rhinitis does not require any drug treatment.

3. Patients with rhinitis may develop nasopharyngeal cancer, but the chance of this happening is relatively small. It is likely that the patient has a genetic gene, or is infected with the Epstein-Barr virus, plus some immune factors.

Is tonsillitis serious?

Pharyngitis and tonsillitis are two different diseases that are relatively common in life. There is no saying that one of the two diseases is more serious. Both are relatively easy to cure clinically.

But relatively speaking, pharyngitis is more likely to recur and is more common in adults, while tonsillitis is usually caused by a cold or a chill, and is usually seen in infants and young children with poor resistance. They can be cured quickly by using antibiotics and heat-clearing and detoxifying drugs, so there is no saying that one is more serious. The pathogen is mostly hemolytic streptococci, which can cause patients to have sudden high fever, body temperature above 38.5 degrees, sore throat, and examination can reveal bilateral enlargement of tonsils, obvious congestion, and pus plugs on the surface. In treatment, patients first need symptomatic anti-inflammatory treatment and oral anti-inflammatory drugs. If the inflammation is not controlled in time, it will lead to local and systemic complications.

Acute tonsillitis is divided into acute catarrhal tonsillitis and acute suppurative tonsillitis.
