How should liver cancer be diagnosed?

Liver cancer is recognized by the medical community as a major killer and has always been a topic of discussion. For liver cancer, experts suggest that early examination is conducive to early detection, which can achieve early diagnosis and early treatment. High-risk groups should have regular physical examinations. So how should liver cancer be diagnosed?

Some clinical diagnoses, such as tumors growing under the liver capsule, swelling the capsule, dull pain in the right muscle ribs of the liver area, poor appetite and fatigue, and patients with hepatitis and portal hypertension of cirrhosis also have such symptoms, so they are not specific symptoms of liver cancer. Physical signs of lumps: lumps are often found when the tumor grows lower and more superficially, or in the late stage, lumps can be felt, and generally there are no lumps.

For those with a history of chronic hepatitis, liver cancer can be diagnosed through alpha-fetoprotein and modern imaging. Modern imaging can diagnose 95% of liver cancers. B-ultrasound can make a judgment of 80-90%. If it is ambiguous, color ultrasound can be used to see if there is blood flow in the mass. If there is blood flow, it is suspected to be malignant. If there is no blood flow, the possibility of malignancy is not high. Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) can be qualitative for some uncertain properties, and patients can also be diagnosed early. Angiography, through liver angiography, if there is a tumor, the image will become brighter, but this is traumatic. If the above diagnosis is still not clear, a pathological examination can be performed, which is generally a puncture. However, puncture has many negative effects, it is easy to bleed, and the tumor is easy to spread, so puncture is generally not recommended now. More than 95% can achieve a clear diagnosis.

The above is what liver cancer experts have introduced about liver cancer diagnosis. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. Experts suggest: If you have symptoms of illness in your body, do not delay diagnosis. You should go to a regular hospital for treatment in time to avoid delaying the disease and causing serious consequences.
