Can non-small cell lung cancer be cured?

Non-small cell lung cancer is basically incurable. Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in the world and the leading cause of respiratory malignancies in China. Lung cancer includes small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.

Non-small cell lung cancer includes squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, and large cell carcinoma. Compared with small cell lung cancer, the cancer cells grow and divide slowly and spread later. However, once non-small cell lung cancer is discovered, the five-year survival rate is very low and non-small cell lung cancer is basically incurable.

For non-small cell lung cancer, we can use the following treatments:

1. Chemotherapy is a method of treating non-small cell lung cancer, but chemotherapy cannot cure non-small cell lung cancer. It can only prolong the patient's survival and improve the patient's quality of life. The treatment of non-small cell lung cancer mainly relies on surgical treatment.

2. Surgical treatment, including radical surgery, tumor resection and lymph node resection around the muscle, including metastatic lymph nodes, can prolong the patient's life and improve the quality of life. It is usually surgery, but there is also adjuvant chemotherapy. Only in this way can the patient's survival rate be improved and the patient's complications be reduced.
