How to prevent anal fistula

Anal fistula is a common anal disease. If you suffer from anal fistula, you will experience repeated pus discharge, swelling and pain, and sometimes it may be accompanied by itching symptoms, which makes people miserable. There are many causes of anal fistula. Anal fistula disease is a disease that is prone to recurrence. If you want to reduce the recurrence of anal fistula, daily prevention is very important. If anal fistula is prevented well, the body will be healthy. The following are the prevention methods of anal fistula.

How to prevent anal fistula?

1. Establish normal dietary habits: Since the occurrence of anal fistula is related to dampness and heat, greasy food can generate endogenous dampness and heat so it is not advisable to eat too much. You should eat more light foods rich in vitamins, such as mung beans, radishes, winter melons and other fresh vegetables and fruits. Anal fistulas that do not heal for a long time are mostly due to deficiency syndrome, so you should eat more protein-containing foods, such as lean meat, beef, mushrooms, etc.

2. Prevent and treat constipation and diarrhea: It is important to prevent anorectal abscesses. Because dry and hard stools can easily abrade the anal sinus, and then bacteria invade and cause infection. People with diarrhea often have proctitis and anal sinusitis, which can further develop the inflammation.

3. In addition, the prevention of anal fistula is basically the same as the prevention of hemorrhoids: but the causes of anal fistula have their own characteristics. Anal fistula is mostly a sequela of perianal abscess, and perianal abscess is related to anal sinusitis and anal glanditis. Therefore, avoiding the occurrence of anal sinusitis and anal gland inflammation as much as possible and treating them early to prevent them from turning into perianal abscesses are important factors in reducing the occurrence of anal fistulas.

4. Other diseases: Actively treat systemic diseases that may cause anorectal abscesses, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. Developing good bowel habits and taking a sitz bath after daily bowel movements to keep the anus clean can play a positive role in preventing infection.

If anal fistula can be prevented well, then other anorectal diseases can be prevented to a certain extent. For example, if dietary treatment is chosen, since dietary factors have a great impact on anorectal diseases, in this case, although it cannot completely prevent other diseases, it will also play a certain role.
