Gum recession and blackened tooth roots

Gum recession and blackened tooth roots

Dental health is a key topic of concern to people and is closely related to people's lives. Dental diseases are very common around us. Many dental diseases can cause people's tooth roots to turn black, and in severe cases, the tooth roots may atrophy, which can have a great impact on our oral health and affect our normal life. So, what should you do if your gums are shrinking and your tooth roots are black?

Causes of swollen and black gums

Although swollen and painful gums often occur, why do they turn black? In fact, black gums are generally a symptom of periodontitis accompanied by gingival atrophy. Gingival atrophy is a local organ degeneration phenomenon of the teeth. In other words, it is a local nutrient transport disorder. Without nutrients for a long time, the affected area will shrink, necrotize and turn black.

What to do if your gums are swollen, painful, and black?

If the problem is caused by an obstruction in local nutrient delivery, external nutrient delivery may be required. Currently, there are many medicines for gingival atrophy, including medicated toothpaste, tablets, etc., which are prescribed by doctors. It is recommended to pay attention to brushing your teeth, pay attention to oral hygiene, and strengthen the care of your teeth.

What causes black teeth?

If the blackening of gums is not caused by disease, the blackening of teeth is mainly caused by insect accumulation or tartar deposition. Generally, teeth cleaning and filling are used to repair teeth, clean the dirt on the teeth, and achieve the purpose of whitening teeth. The main reason for black teeth is that you don’t pay attention to oral hygiene. You must brush your teeth once in the morning and evening. If you don’t brush your teeth after meals, you should rinse your mouth with water to maintain oral hygiene.

Aging is one of the causes of gum recession, and some diseases can also aggravate this condition, such as periodontitis, tartar, gingivitis, gum abscesses and other dental diseases, as well as diabetes, anemia, vitamin C deficiency, etc. Therefore, prevention must be done in advance, otherwise it will not only make the teeth "grow longer", but gum recession will also make exposed teeth abnormally sensitive to temperature changes between hot and cold and acidic foods, and accelerate tooth loosening. Once your teeth are in bad condition, your appetite will be affected, and it will become difficult to live a healthy and long life.

Whether it is gum recession caused by aging or dental disease, it can be prevented. The most important thing is to pay attention to oral hygiene and the correct way of brushing your teeth. Brush your teeth at least twice a day, morning and evening. If you really don't have time, you must use mouthwash or tea instead to clean your mouth. Use a soft-bristled circular toothbrush with rounded and blunt bristles. Brush along the gaps between teeth, vibrating the brush vertically. It is best if the bristles are at a 45-degree angle to the teeth. When picking your teeth, it is best not to use a toothpick. Use dental floss for small gaps between teeth and a brush for large gaps between teeth. To prevent dental diseases, you should go to the hospital for regular check-ups and treatments, and you should have your teeth cleaned every six months to a year.
