However, some people choose to quit smoking after realizing the harmfulness of cigarettes after smoking for a period of time. But why do you find yourself getting irritable during the process of quitting smoking?

1. What are the adverse reactions of quitting smoking suddenly?

Sleep abnormalities, such as interrupted sleep, insomnia, drowsiness, difficulty falling asleep, etc. Abnormal oral symptoms, such as oral ulcers, dry mouth, thirst, etc. Mental tension, such as anxiety, irritability, and temper tantrums.

2. How to relieve the discomfort when quitting smoking

Tiredness: Take a nap and give yourself more sleep.

Nervousness: Take a walk, take a hot bath, do something relaxing.

Headache: Lie down and take deep breaths, take a warm shower or bath

Irritability: Tell people around you that you are quitting smoking, and ask them to calm down if you feel irritable during these few days.

Insomnia: Avoid irritating foods (such as strong tea and spicy foods) after 6 pm, do some exercises in the afternoon or evening, and do something to relax your nerves before going to bed.

Sore throat or cough: drink more fluids and take some cough medicine

Hungry: Drink water or a low-calorie beverage; pack a healthy snack.

Dizziness: Be extra careful and change positions slowly.
