Dry and flaky lips

Dry and flaky lips

Dry and flaky lips are a very common phenomenon. Generally speaking, if the body lacks vitamins, or the lips are inflamed, or if people have the habit of licking or biting their lips, it will cause dry lips. Therefore, when the problem of dry and flaky lips occurs, it is important to take the correct approach to condition the body in a timely manner according to the cause of the symptoms.

1. It is related to the lack of vitamins in the body

Many people do not pay attention to their diet and are picky about their food, which causes a lack of vitamins in their bodies. If you lack vitamin B2, vitamin A and vitamin C, it may cause dry and flaky lips. Therefore, it is recommended to eat more fresh vegetables and fruits in normal times. This can help replenish vitamins in the body, promote blood circulation in the body, better nourish the skin of the lips, and make your lips rosy and shiny.

2. Related to lip inflammation

If your lips are often dry and flaky, it may be related to lip inflammation. Many people may be surprised and wonder how lips can become inflamed. If the lips are invaded by bacteria, viruses, or fungi, cheilitis may also occur. This will cause the lips to peel, and in severe cases, they may even become dry and cracked.

3. It is related to habitual lip licking and lip biting

In fact, almost all of us have such a habit, that is, if our lips are chapped and dry, we will habitually lick our lips or sometimes bite our lips. In fact, habitual licking of lips will aggravate dryness and peeling, because the skin of lips is very thin and has no sweat glands. If you lick your lips frequently, the moisture of lips will evaporate, which will aggravate the dryness.

So if your lips are often dry and flaky, you must change the habit of licking and biting your lips and apply lip balm. This can moisturize the lips very well. You can also apply some honey on your lips before going to bed every night and seal them with plastic wrap for 5 minutes. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, such as kiwi fruit, which are rich in vitamin C and are very effective in relieving chapped lips.
