How long is the anus from the rectum

The distance between the anus and the rectum is actually not that far, but many friends have not known about it. The distance between the anus and the rectum is actually only 15cm. The health of the rectum is actually related to the health of the anus. If the rectal disease is not handled properly, other diseases will also arise in the anus.

The upper end of the rectum is connected to the sigmoid colon and to the anal canal at the dentate line. About 12 to 15 cm long. The upper end of the rectum is similar in size to the colon, and its lower end expands into the rectal ampulla, which is a temporary storage site for feces before it is discharged. The lowest end becomes thinner and connects to the anal canal.

Anus, the anatomical anal canal. Traditional Chinese medicine calls the anus the "Po Men". Ordinary people call it asshole. The soul is connected with the dregs, transmitting the dregs, so it is called the buttocks or rump.

The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine says: "The anus is also the messenger of the five internal organs, and water and grain cannot be stored for a long time." Zhang Jingyue, a physician in the Ming Dynasty, said: "Although the stored dregs are discharged by it, the rise and fall of internal organs' qi are also regulated by it, so it is the messenger of the five internal organs." In other words, the opening and closing of the anus depends on the dominance of the mind, the regulation of the liver qi, the raising of the spleen qi, the descending of the lung qi, and the control of the kidney qi, so as not to lose its normal state. From the above literature, we can know that the anus is the place where the human body expels turbid air and regenerates new air. It is controlled by dirty air and can also influence dirty air.

The anus is the end of the anorectal cavity and is an organ in the human body located between the buttocks. The anus has three main functions.

(1) The release of waste gas from the human body, namely farting (also known as bed-warming gas).

(2) Excretion of waste from the human body, also known as excretion.

(3) Gating function: prevents intestinal contents from involuntarily overflowing from the body, and prevents foreign matter such as gas and liquid from entering the intestinal cavity.

The anus needs to be cleaned frequently. Common diseases include hemorrhoids, anal fissure, rectal prolapse, anal fistula, anal sinusitis, anal edema, and perianal abscess.
