What diseases does endodontics treat?

In the past, people would usually go to the dentist for treatment of dental problems. However, as people's needs have become increasingly higher, many different categories of dental diseases have emerged. Some people discover the existence of endodontics when they see a dentist, but although endodontics is often seen by people, most people don’t know what dental diseases it treats. So what diseases does endodontics treat?

With the development of stomatology, the setting of stomatology departments has become more and more sophisticated, and stomatology is no longer a simple matter of "extraction, filling and inlay". Today I would like to tell my friends what diseases “endodontics” treats.

Endodontics is actually a department that deals with diseases of the hard tissues of teeth and the pulp tissue inside the hard tissues. Among them, the most common disease of dental hard tissue is caries, commonly known as tooth decay; the other type is non-caries hard tissue disease, including dental trauma, tooth sensitivity, tooth wear, tooth discoloration, developmental deformities, etc. Pulp tissue diseases include pulp inflammation and the resulting root inflammation. So when your teeth are chipped, painful, or sensitive, please first consider visiting the endodontics department!

Which one should I go to first, prosthodontics or endodontics?

1. First of all, when we go to the dentist, we should know what our condition is. If we just have common caries or other problems that need correction, we can go directly to the corresponding department. However, if there is a problem inside our teeth

2. In addition, for dental problems, generally speaking, we should first go to the endodontic department to follow up on the diseases inside our teeth and eliminate serious problems with our teeth. This will provide a better environment for tooth growth and relieve our pain as quickly as possible.

3. Then, if there are missing teeth, you can go to the oral restoration department to fill the missing teeth. This can make our teeth more neat and beautiful, and can make our teeth more charming. Therefore, oral rehabilitation can be performed last.

Note:

What we should pay attention to is that if there is obvious pain in the tooth, we must seek treatment in time and not delay it for too long, otherwise the tooth pulp may be seriously damaged. This is not conducive to the recovery of our teeth.
