Pain in left elbow joint

Pain in left elbow joint

The elbow joint is a very important joint in our body. It is used quite frequently and is very prone to soreness. If it is simply caused by fatigue, it will get better after rest. But if it persists, we need to pay attention to it, as it may be caused by a disease, and we need to be aware of the types of diseases in this regard. So, what is causing the pain in the left elbow? Let’s take a look below.

1. The cause of pain may also be the dislocation of the vertebrae in the neck, which compresses the nerves. The most common ones are the dislocation of the fifth and sixth cervical vertebrae, because the nerves in these sections control the functional movements and sensations of the elbow muscles.

2. Nerve compression. When the radial nerve runs from the neck to the armpit, back along the arm and then forward, if it is compressed, it will cause symptoms of elbow pain.

3. Transfer pain from the supraspinatus and infraspinatus trigger points. This type of symptom is mainly due to muscle weakness and fatigue. When the muscle is overused and the trigger points are stretched, transfer pain will occur from the shoulder blade to the elbow and even to the finger area.

4. Bone and joint dysfunction can cause inflammation of tissues around the radial humeroscapular joint, such as tendons, ligaments, and synovial fluid. Symptoms include obvious tenderness on the outside of the elbow joint, and sometimes pain when picking up objects.

5. Common symptoms in daily life: 1. When you hold something tightly with your hands or add resistance to test the extensor muscle strength, your elbow will become more painful. 2. Writing for a long time can be very tiring. 3. Lifting heavy objects will cause pain. 4. In severe cases, the patient cannot even hold a pen.
