Toothache root canal treatment process

Toothache root canal treatment process

Everyone must pay attention to their oral hygiene and protect their teeth. After all, teeth cannot grow again. After the baby teeth are replaced, they only have one chance to grow again in a lifetime. If you have a dental disease, you must treat it in time, and root canal treatment is the most common method. The root canal treatment process for toothache is relatively long and needs to be done two to three times. Some people may need a month to complete the whole process. The process is long and has many steps.

1. Remove dead pulp

After the treatment plan and price are agreed upon, the treatment begins. First, the decayed tooth is drilled and the replaced teeth are removed. Local anesthesia is given by injecting an anesthetic needle next to the affected tooth, the pulp cavity is opened, and the necrotic pulp is removed.

2. Root canal treatment

Because the root canal wall is uneven, it is easy for pulp tissue to remain in the depressed area. You need to use a root canal to make piston movements on the tooth root to clean out the damaged pulp. In cooperation, use disinfectant to disinfect and clean the roots.

3. Thorough treatment

Generally, root canal treatment of large teeth needs to be done 2-3 times. First of all, large teeth have more root canals, and some of the pulps are still alive. The treatment cannot be completed in the first treatment, and medicine must be put in first to deactivate the living pulp. After putting the medicine in, do it a second time after a week. After all the root canals have been treated, you will need to get an X-ray to check the correct length of the root canals to ensure that they are done thoroughly.

4. Dehydration and drug administration

After taking an X-ray and seeing that there was no problem, I used medicine to seal the tooth and observed it for a week. If there are no problems during the period, you can proceed to the next step.

5. Take the membrane

The entire treatment cycle took about half a month. After all the tooth roots were disinfected and cleaned, the teeth could be sealed and the membrane removed. If you don't need a crown, you can just seal it with medicine. If you need to wear a crown, you have to fix your tooth and then grind it down, then use ointment to fix the shape of your tooth and take the membrane to make the crown.

6. Wearing a crown

Dental crowns, also known as ceramic teeth, are usually made within 5-7 days. After grinding your teeth, the doctor will give you temporary braces to cover up the ugliness of your front teeth, but this is not necessary for your back teeth. Just wait until the braces are made and then go to the hospital to get them put on.
