Sudden back pain, can't bend over

Sudden back pain, can't bend over

Some people suddenly find themselves having back pain and unable to bend over. In this case, it is generally considered to be caused by acute lumbar torsion. We need to take some rest to relieve the symptoms. If the pain does not stop, we should go to the hospital for diagnosis in time to avoid other types of major diseases, be responsible for our own health, and avoid adverse factors. So, what are the reasons for sudden lower back pain and inability to bend over?

1. Reasons

The reason for sudden severe low back pain: The weather is cold in winter, people's urine volume increases, and the small stones that have formed are washed away by urine and move downward, causing symptoms of renal colic. Related to the usual diet,

Too much fat intake. Meat from various animals, especially fatty pork, is high in fat and sugar. Sugar is an important nutrient for the human body and should be supplemented regularly. However, if too much sugar is added at once, especially lactose, it can create conditions for the formation of stones.

2. Inspection

Diagnosis of sudden severe low back pain:

Kidney stones: When stones are lodged at the junction of the renal pelvis and ureter or descend in the ureter, renal colic may occur. It is a sudden onset of paroxysmal, knife-like pain that is severe and unbearable. The patient tosses and turns, and the pain radiates from the waist or flank abdomen downward to the bladder area, vulva and inner thigh, and sometimes there is profuse sweating, nausea and vomiting.

The symptoms of ureteral stones and kidney stones are basically similar. The size of the stone is not necessarily proportional to the degree of obstruction, hematuria, and pain. Stone impaction and blockage in the middle and upper parts of the ureter or stone migration downward often cause typical renal colic and microscopic hematuria on the affected side. The pain may radiate to the inner thigh, testicles, or labia.

3. Differential diagnosis

Sudden and severe low back pain Differential diagnosis:

1. Lumbar muscle strain

Women who engage in standing operations for a long time, such as textile, printing and dyeing, hairdressing, and vending, will have weakened stretching ability of lumbar tendons and ligaments due to continuous standing. Excessive lactic acid may accumulate locally, inhibiting the normal metabolism of the lumbar muscles and causing low back pain due to lumbar muscle strain. Frequently carrying heavy objects puts too much pressure on the waist, which can easily lead to scoliosis, lumbar muscle strain and low back pain.

2. Lumbar spine disease

It is more common in elderly women. As age increases, the symptoms of lumbar nerve compression will increase. Pseudospondylolisthesis caused by degenerative diseases is a common disease, which can easily cause lumbar spinal stenosis, compress the spinal cord and nerve roots, lead to low back pain and radiating pain in the lower limbs, and is often caused by vertebral collapse fractures due to osteoporosis. Osteophyte formation in the elderly can cause spinal stiffness and can also lead to persistent low back pain.
