There are many specific factors that cause getting angry. Excessive emotional fluctuations, heatstroke, cold, addiction to tobacco and alcohol, excessive consumption of spicy foods such as onions, ginger, garlic, and peppers, greed for greasy foods such as mutton and dog meat, poisoning, lack of sleep, etc. can all cause "heat".

In traditional Chinese medicine, the symptoms of heat in the upper parts of the body, such as dizziness, sore throat, etc., are called "upper-burner fire", the symptoms of heat in the middle parts, such as irritability, thirst, and stomach pain, are called "middle-burner fire", and the symptoms of heat in the lower parts of the body, such as constipation and red urine, are called "lower-burner fire". According to the organs, red, swollen and painful eyes are called "liver fire", nasal flaring and shortness of breath are called "lung fire", mouth and tongue ulcers are called "heart fire", and so on. Combined with the internal conditions, these fires can be divided into two categories: "virtual" and "real". Those with severe symptoms and fierce onset are real fires; those with mild symptoms, long duration and accompanied by hot hands and feet, hot flashes, night sweats, etc. are virtual fires. This classification provides a basis for relevant treatment.

There are two points to note when treating "getting angry": First, choose Chinese medicine instead of blindly using Western medicine. Because the former regulates the whole body to cure the root cause, while the latter can only treat the symptoms. The second is to treat the disease based on syndrome differentiation according to the theory of traditional Chinese medicine. For example, to treat "middle-burner fire", it is appropriate to use Qingwei San and other medicines; to treat "heart fire", use Daochi San and other medicines; to treat "real fire", use Sanhuang Pian, Niuhuang Jiedu Pian and other medicines to reduce fire. It is best to do this under the guidance of a doctor. If you see "fire", you use Sanhuang tablets or the like, but sometimes it doesn't work and instead causes trouble.

Five "removing heat" food therapies

People are prone to "getting angry" symptoms such as red, swollen and sore eyes, swollen and painful throats, swollen and painful gums, painful mouth ulcers and erosion of the tip of the tongue. "Getting angry" can be adjusted through diet, and "diet therapy" has unique effects.

1. Drink lotus seed soup to relieve heart fire

Symptoms: There are two types of fire: deficiency and excess. Deficiency fire is manifested by low fever, night sweats, irritability, dry mouth, etc.; excess fire is manifested by recurrent oral ulcers, dry mouth, short and red urine, irritability, etc.

Diet therapy: 30 grams of lotus seeds (without removing the lotus core), 15 grams of cassia seeds (wrapped in gauze), add appropriate amount of rock sugar, decoct in water, eat the lotus seeds and drink the soup.

2. Eating pig liver can relieve lung heat

Symptoms: dry cough without sputum or little and sticky sputum, hot flashes and night sweats, hot palms and soles, insomnia, and red tongue.

Diet therapy: 1 piece of pork liver, 30 grams of chrysanthemum (wrapped in gauze), cook until the liver is cooked, eat the liver and drink the soup.

3. Drink mung bean porridge to relieve stomach fire

Symptoms: There are two types of deficiency and excess. Deficiency fire is manifested by mild cough, small amount of food intake, constipation, abdominal distension, red tongue and little coating; excess fire is manifested by upper abdominal discomfort, dry mouth and bitter taste, and dry and hard stool.

Diet therapy: 30 grams of gypsum powder, appropriate amount of polished rice and mung beans. First boil the gypsum with water, then filter out the residue, take the clear liquid, and then add polished rice and mung beans to cook porridge.

4. Drink pear juice to relieve liver fire

Symptoms: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, dry eyes, bitter taste in the mouth, bad breath, and pain in the ribs.

Diet therapy: Crush 10 grams of Fritillaria cirrhosa into powder, peel and cut 2 pears, add appropriate amount of rock sugar, and stew it with appropriate amount of water.

5. Eat pork kidneys to reduce kidney heat

Symptoms: dizziness, tinnitus, deafness, soreness of waist and spine, hot flashes, night sweats, and irritability.

Diet therapy: 2 pig kidneys, 15 grams each of wolfberry and cornus officinalis, put them into a casserole and cook until the pig kidneys are cooked, eat the pig kidneys and drink the soup.
