How to prevent presbyopia_How to prevent and treat presbyopia

We all know that middle-aged and elderly people are very prone to presbyopia. Once it occurs, it will have a great impact on their normal life and they need to wear glasses to deal with it. Presbyopia is similar to myopia and can actually be prevented. If there is a trend towards presbyopia, or if you want to avoid it, you should take some preventive measures. So, how to prevent presbyopia?

First, blink frequently: Whenever you have free time, use the blinking method to stimulate the eye muscles. At the same time, use both hands to gently rub the eyelids to increase the moisture of the eyeballs. When closing your eyes, try your best to straighten your shoulders and close your eyes for a while. Blinking does not affect the eye muscles, but can exercise the eye muscles regularly and delay aging.

Second, move your eyes frequently, because frequently moving your eyes up, down, left, right, etc. can exercise your eye muscles.

Third, master the correct reading method. Sit comfortably when reading, relax all the muscles in your body, keep the reading material at least 30 cm away from your eyes, and do not lean forward too much. Otherwise, it will affect the strain of the back muscles. Do not read in bed and do not force yourself to read when you are overly tired.

Fourth, focus on a small target and don’t look at things with your peripheral vision.

Fifth, close your eyes when going from darkness to sunlight, and avoid letting sunlight shine directly into your eyes. Don't watch TV or movies for too long to maintain good eyesight.

Sixth, pay attention to exercise. Do more whole-body exercise to increase blood circulation, which is beneficial to the eye muscles.

Seventh, acupressure: In order to promote blood circulation in the eyeballs, acupressure should be applied to the eye sockets. Since the eyeball is surrounded by bones, when performing acupressure, keep your fingers as close to the eyeball as possible and press gently multiple times.

8. Eye exercises: Eye exercises that exercise the muscles that support the eyeballs can effectively prevent presbyopia. Here are the steps to do eye exercises:

1. First look to the distance to the right, then turn your gaze to the distance to the left.

2. Close your eyes tightly several times.

3. Look diagonally to the upper right, then to the lower left. On the contrary, look diagonally to the upper left and then to the lower right.

4. Open your eyes wide and move your eyeballs up, down, left and right. As long as you persevere, you can maintain a lively look.

Ninth, cold water eye washing method: wash your face and eyes with cold water every morning. First, soak your eyes in cold water for 1 to 2 minutes, then scrub your face and the eye muscles around your eyes, and then rub them gently with both hands 20 to 30 times.

10. Hot compress eye method: Before going to bed every night, wash your face with 40-50 degrees Celsius hot water. First apply hot compress to the forehead and eyes, tilt your head slightly, close your eyes for about two minutes, and then wash your face after the temperature drops.

11. Mulberry leaf eye compress: Mulberry leaf has the effect of nourishing the liver and improving eyesight. Take 4 pieces of fresh mulberry leaves (about 15 grams), wash and mash them into mud, divide them into two portions and spread them on two pieces of gauze, then close your eyes and apply them on your eyelids for 15 minutes each time. Long-term persistence can delay dizziness and vision loss.

12. The simplest way to prevent presbyopia is to take lutein orally. Lutein supplementation can effectively improve vision and delay the onset of presbyopia.
