Can herpes be treated with cupping

Herpes is a common skin disease in modern medicine, which is generally caused by viral infection. Patients with herpes will experience symptoms such as skin redness, swelling, and itching. In severe cases, it may cause skin ulcers and inflammation, causing great damage to the skin. Herpes must be treated as soon as possible to prevent the spread of the virus. Some people use cupping to treat herpes. So, can cupping be used to treat herpes?

Herpes refers to a disease caused by viruses of the herpesviridae family. Currently, there are eight viruses in the herpesviridae family (herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, varicella-zoster virus, human cytomegalovirus, Epstein-Barr virus and human herpes virus types 6, 7, and 8) that are known to cause human diseases. These viruses are collectively referred to as human herpesviruses (HHVs). HHV is a group of medium-sized enveloped DNA viruses that can cause a variety of diseases in humans and can remain latent in the body for a long time, causing recurrent infection under certain conditions. Common clinical diseases include chickenpox, shingles, herpes simplex, and genital herpes. It can invade multiple organs of the human body and can occur at any age.

If you have herpes, antiviral treatment is more effective. The effect of taking Chinese medicine is not ideal. Cupping generally does not affect the treatment of herpes.

But cupping cannot be used for shingles. Herpes zoster is a disease caused by infection with the herpes zoster virus. Because the virus is neurotropic, it can remain dormant in the neurons of the dorsal root ganglia of the spinal nerves for a long time after infection. When the resistance is low or fatigued, the virus can grow and multiply again and move along the nerve fibers to the skin, causing severe inflammation of the invaded nerves and skin. The rash is generally unilateral and distributed according to nerve segments. It is composed of clustered herpes and is accompanied by pain. The older the age, the more severe the neuralgia. Since there are many herpes on the skin of this disease, cupping can cause skin damage, so do not cupping.

Herpes viruses have the following common characteristics: ① The virus is spherical, and the surface of the viral nucleocapsid is a symmetrical icosahedron composed of 162 shell particles, inside which is a core composed of DNA. There is a lipoprotein envelope around the nucleocapsid, and the outer diameter of the virus is 150 to 200 nm. ②Except for Epstein-Barr virus, all viruses can replicate in the diploid cell nucleus, and eosinophilic inclusion bodies appear in the nucleus. ③The virus can spread directly through intercellular bridges. Herpes viruses mainly invade tissues of ectodermal origin, including skin, mucous membranes and neural tissue.
