Red spots under eyes

Red spots under eyes

Many people believe that the body will become uncomfortable when the seasons change. In fact, when the seasons change, all parts of our body will experience some uncomfortable symptoms. Especially if the eyes are not properly protected when facing these external stimuli, phenomena such as eye congestion, red and swollen eyelids, eye allergies and itchy eyes will occur. When small red spots grow under the eyes, you need to pay attention and be sure to find out the cause of this phenomenon.

Causes of red spots under eyes

1. It is internal heat in the body. It's fine. It will usually disappear automatically. To make it disappear quickly, first resolve the internal heat, such as drinking light salt to reduce internal heat. In addition, massage the area around your eyes with your hands, and it will generally get better within a week. This is something that everyone may encounter frequently.

2. It may be related to getting angry. It is recommended to avoid spicy and irritating foods, and eat more vegetables and fruits and observe the results. It usually goes away. If pain occurs, you can take anti-inflammatory drugs.

3. Have a dermatological examination to see if there is any cause for the pigmentation. Usually, you should pay attention to maintaining the hygiene of the local skin, eat a light diet, and avoid spicy and greasy food.

4. It could be a vascular nevus or it could be an allergy. You can also observe it for a few days to see if it disappears naturally. Or go to the hospital's dermatology department for treatment.

What to do if you have eye allergies

Use cold compress.

If you have itchy, scratchy eyes, try applying a cool compress to your eyes. It will also help if there is swelling and redness. Grab a soft washcloth or towel. Soak it in cold water and wring it out. Close your eyes, tilt your head back, and place the compress on your face. Remove after 20 minutes. Repeat several times to prevent further itching. You can also lie down, if you tilt your head back that long you might hurt your neck.

Clear your eyes.

If your eyes are itchy and scratchy, there may be something in your eyes that is trying to flush them out. This is also necessary if you get allergens in your eyes, such as dust. First, tip over the sink and turn on the warm water. Tip down slowly from the tap, but not too hard. Allow it to run over your eyes for several minutes, or until you think you have eliminated all the allergens. You can also do this in the shower, making sure the water isn't too hot to hurt your eyes.

Use eye drops.

There are two different over-the-counter eye drops you can use. You can use antihistamine eye drops, which have anti-allergy medications and can relieve itching and redness. You can also use eye drops, also called artificial tears. These can help relieve itching, add more moisture to your eyes, and allow them to flush away allergens.

Avoid rubbing your eyes.

When your eyes are itchy, stroking them is one of the worst things you can do. This will most likely only make the symptoms worse. It can cause pressure and friction on your eyes. It can also spread allergens to your eyes via your hands, which will only make the itching worse. Avoid contact with your eyes. This means you should avoid eye makeup when you have eye allergies

Protect your eyes.

If you are bothered by external allergens, wear sunglasses when you go out. This will add a layer of protection to your eyes, keeping them away from these allergens instead of exposing them to them. If you know that dust or pet dander can affect your allergies, wear protective eyewear while you clean your home.

Take out your contact lenses.

They can rub against your eyes, and if your eyes are already infected, they can also collect allergens, which can make your symptoms worse. Instead, swap your contact lenses for glasses. This will give your eyes a break while also adding the benefit of protecting them. If you don't wear glasses, use disposable contact lenses instead. This will help prevent any possible allergens from coming into contact with you.
