How long can a patient with advanced liver cancer live in a coma

There is no clear answer to how long you can live, because everyone's physical fitness, disease severity, psychological factors, treatment conditions and other factors are different. Adjusting your mentality, actively cooperating with treatment, and using radiotherapy, chemotherapy, biological therapy and other methods can alleviate symptoms, improve quality of life, and prolong survival.

Liver cancer itself is very unpredictable. It depends on the patient's willpower and the intensity of treatment. However, generally speaking, liver coma is already in the late stage. At this time, the patient will gradually transition to a deep coma, and all reflexes will disappear. This period is relatively slow. Shallow coma will recur repeatedly. It is recommended to be mentally prepared.

Liver cancer patients should pay attention to life care and psychological care, correct their mentality, treat it correctly and objectively, pay attention to diet, give easily digestible and low-fat food, and improve the quality of life of patients.

In traditional Chinese medical literature, there are many records of symptoms and signs similar to liver cancer, which belong to the categories of "spleen accumulation", "symptom accumulation", "jaundice", "swelling" and so on. The Neijing points out: "When the evil is in the liver, it will cause pain under the ribs. When the anger goes against the liver, the disease is in the ribs." It points out that the liver meridian is located under the ribs. The Difficult Classic records: "The accumulation of spleen is called stagnation of qi, which is in the stomach and is as big as a plate. If it is not cured for a long time, it will make people's limbs unable to retract, jaundice will occur, and eating and drinking will not be skin." This shows that the lumps, jaundice, fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, etc. caused by spleen accumulation are similar to the clinical characteristics of liver cancer. The Song Dynasty's "Shengji Zonglu" records: "The accumulation of qi in the abdomen, which has not been cured for a long time and is firm and cannot be moved when pushed, is a symptom. This is caused by improper cold and heat, improper diet, which leads to weak qi in the internal organs and indigestion. When pressed, it is like a cup or plate that is tightly knotted. It lasts for a long time, making people tired and having a swollen abdomen, and it may not be digested until death." As the Lingshu Jing's "Hundred Diseases Beginning Chapter" says: "When the evil qi invades the human body, it starts from the skin and enters deep into the body without leaving. It spreads to the outside of the intestines and stomach, between the Mu Yuan and stays in the veins, lingers and does not leave, and accumulates after a while."
