What to do if ants get into your ears

What to do if ants get into your ears

If you are not careful in your daily life, ants may enter your ears. At this time, you should use certain methods to get the ants out of the ear canal in time. For example, you can drop a little vegetable oil into the ear, so that the ants will be deprived of oxygen, and then shake the ear so that the ants can come out. You can also use a little honey to attract the ants out, etc.

What to do if ants get into your ears

The simplest way is that ants, like us humans, also need oxygen. As long as you cover your ears for a while, the ants will die from lack of oxygen. Try not to use an ear pick to dig out the dead ants yourself. As it is not clean enough, it is recommended to go to the hospital to remove the ants or clean your ears.

You can also take advantage of the fact that ants follow the light, but it may not be successful because ants will follow the light source.

Another way is to use some vegetable oil. Drop the vegetable oil into the ear (not pour it in...) to block the ear canal, causing the ants to lack oxygen. Vegetable oil is harmless to the ears. Do not pour lubricating oil, sewing machine oil, gasoline, or kerosene.

Put some honey or something like that on the outside of the ear. Ants like sweets and will crawl out.

You can also fill it with some water close to body temperature (not with a pipe). Too cold or too hot can easily cause dizziness. The ears will not hurt after the ants drown. Be sure to go to the hospital to see a doctor to remove the ant's body, otherwise the ears will become inflamed.

The above methods are only temporary first aid. You still need to go to the hospital eventually. They are for reference only.

What to do if there is foreign matter in baby's ear

1. If the object that enters the ear is easy to grab, such as a small paper ball, sponge, cotton, etc., and is close to the entrance of the external auditory canal, parents can use tweezers, ear picks, etc. to remove the foreign body with the baby's cooperation. If it is something sharp or otherwise difficult to remove, you need to go to the hospital for treatment.

2. If it is a bug that gets into the ear, you can first drop some vegetable oil into the baby's ear, or drop 1 to 2 drops of clean baby oil, salad oil, etc. to fill the ear canal. This will drown the bugs in the ear, and then turn the baby's ears downwards, and the bugs will flow out along with the oil. Then you need to go to the hospital to remove the remains of the insects and carry out necessary cleaning. In addition, parents can also shine light into the ears. Since insects are phototropic, they can use light to lure the insects out by shining a flashlight into the inner opening of the ear.

3. If the baby has eaten beans or something like that, you should let the baby tilt his head to allow the foreign object to fall out due to gravity. Never rinse with water, because the beans will swell when exposed to water and irritate the skin of the external auditory canal, causing inflammation and infection, and sometimes severe pain. If the beans cannot roll out, you need to go to the hospital immediately.
