When we were young, if we did not clean our teeth in time, some australis would appear in our teeth. But now as we grow older, there are all kinds of toothpastes and teeth cleaning products on the market, including mouthwash, so people don’t think that their teeth still need care. But when australis really appears, it will make people very nervous. How to deal with such a situation has become a problem of concern to everyone. Can I puncture a tooth abscess directly? There are two common causes of dental abscesses: First, the pulp and dental nerve are inflamed. The inflammation will invade the tissues around the teeth through the apical foramen of the teeth, and pustules may appear on the gums. Second, inflammation of the periodontal tissue will cause pus to accumulate and there is no good drainage channel, which will lead to abscesses. After the abscesses are formed, because there is more pus in the abscesses and the pressure is relatively high, the patient will feel obvious pain. At this time, many patients will puncture the abscesses themselves to let the pus flow out, and they will feel very relieved after it flows out. However, no matter which type of abscess it is, it is not recommended for patients to puncture it by themselves, because if the tools used are not clean, it may lead to secondary infection and cause bigger problems. In addition, if the underlying disease is not cured, the abscess will recur. In fact, this is mostly caused by chronic inflammation of the roots of adjacent teeth, also known as chronic apical periodontitis. Generally, the teeth will have lesions such as caries, defects, cracks, or have a history of treatment. Dental films can often show images of apical bone destruction. The vast majority of apical periodontitis develops from pulpitis. When pulpitis is not treated in time, the pulp becomes infected and necrotic, and develops to the root of the tooth, causing inflammation of the tissues around the root. This is apical periodontitis. It can be considered that apical periodontitis is caused by the spread of inflammation inside the tooth to the outside of the tooth. If you suffer from apical periodontitis, you will have biting pain on your teeth, which may be severe and sometimes relatively mild. Some patients with apical periodontitis do not feel much discomfort. This is because their resistance is strong, which suppresses the inflammation of the tooth root and makes the inflammation a chronic process. When a person is sick or tired, his resistance is reduced, inflammation occurs, and pustules or granulations (fistulas) appear on the gums. When inflammation occurs acutely, it will cause the teeth to loosen to a certain extent, and sometimes the gums will swell or pus will overflow, causing severe pain. Once you understand the cause of the disease, you don't have to worry too much. As long as you perform timely and thorough root canal treatment, remove the infected material in the tooth root, thoroughly disinfect it, and fill it tightly, it is possible to eliminate the inflammation and save the affected tooth. |
