Under the current high social pressure, both teenagers and adults will have times when they cannot manage their emotions. Loss of control of emotions will not only put oneself in a bad state, but will also affect the relationships and emotions of those around them. Therefore, it is necessary to learn to self-regulate emotions. Mindfulness therapy is a method to improve emotions. The so-called mindfulness, after all, is actually awareness and listening. When facing yourself, you should be aware of your own heart, and when facing others, you should learn to listen.

When we face our inner selves, we should learn to observe various psychological states objectively. Awareness means maintaining a clear and aware state of the flow of feelings, emotions, thoughts or ideas. No matter what kind of thoughts they are, whether they are pleasant feelings or unpleasant feelings, observe them equally. Neither following nor rejecting is a method of training the mind and an important experience of introspection. An untrained mind is always wandering around, thinking about things over and over again, and never staying in the present moment. If our mind is always like this, in a sense, it is no different from existing in a dream. Let go of messy thoughts and emotions, allow them to arise and disappear, and the mind will naturally tend to be orderly. However, this is a difficult thing for most people to understand and adapt to. The purpose of Vipassana meditation is to be intuitive, rather than to think, reflect, and judge. Using the mind to imagine and reason is going to the other extreme. Even people who have had experience in meditation training will quickly regress to their previous habitual psychological state if they cannot persist in their lives. Therefore, only by mastering the correct method and making enthusiastic, wise and diligent efforts can one become proficient in the skills. The benefit of this is that it makes the mind clear, peaceful, orderly and efficient, and does not let us fall into various thoughts and disputes for no reason. Thus, we can clearly discover the causes and entanglements that cause our pain, and what state our heart likes. If you encounter things that require thinking, analysis, and reflection, a rested mind will function more efficiently.

As I write this, I am reminded of a short article in the newspaper - Unveiling the mystery of "It's hard to relax on vacation". The article says that many people expect to take a vacation to relieve work pressure and relax their body and mind. However, some people cannot "forget about work and have a peaceful vacation" even on vacation because their thoughts cannot stop. A recent study by American scientists has revealed the mystery of why it is difficult to relax on vacation. Studies have found that not only does "thinking about problems" consume energy, but "preventing yourself from thinking about certain problems" also consumes energy. Studies have shown that to block certain thoughts, the brain uses inhibitory neurons to prevent excitatory brain cells from transmitting information to each other, and to do this, the brain must consume more oxygen. The greater the oxygen consumption, the greater the blood flow and the more energy required, which is the crux of why it is difficult to relax on vacation.

Mindful observation is neither to stop thoughts nor to follow them. It is just to observe, to observe silently, to watch from the sidelines, to empty your thoughts and feelings. It's like a mother watching her naughty child running around. When the child gets tired, he will naturally return to his mother's arms. When we are mindful, our brain consumes relatively less energy, has fewer delusions, and the concepts of self and others, right and wrong cease. After a long time, the inertial paths of brain neurons, that is, the habitual psychological patterns that dominate us in the dark, will also quietly change.

Listening is a sign of respect for others and good communication, and is an important ability in people's interactions. Listening, just listening, is also a very good method of meditation in my opinion. By simply listening, you can understand the other person's position more clearly and objectively, and your mind will not become distracted or scattered. Besides, most of the small talk in life is dispensable and can be ignored. There is no need to express your opinion or clarify everything. To make communication interactive and interesting, you can occasionally ask questions and express your own opinions.
