Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area: It is named Qinglong Gorge because there is Qinglong Pond in the gorge.

Drive northeast from Sanyuan Bridge, pass Sunhe to Kuliushu Roundabout, then turn due north to Huairou County. The journey takes about 90 minutes. After that, drive north along the Jingfeng Highway for about 10 minutes and after passing the Yanqi Roundabout, you can see a string of beautiful scenery on both sides of the highway. The scenic areas are distributed in the following order: Yanqi Lake Scenic Area, Hongluo Temple Scenic Area, Qinglong Gorge Scenic Area, Baiquan Mountain Scenic Area, Shimen Mountain, Ziyun Mountain, Shentangyu Scenic Area, Yougu Shentan, Yunmeng Mountain Scenic Area, Labagoumen Primeval Forest and Tianyuan Yunmeng Mountain. Among them, Qinglong Gorge has magnificent scenery and rich layers, Baiquan Mountain and Shimen Mountain have wonderful sights on the mountains and gentle scenery at the foot of the mountain, Ziyun Mountain has deep forests and dense game, all of which can bring tourists a brand new sightseeing experience.

Comments: There are resorts and restaurants at the entrance of the above-mentioned scenic spots. In addition, along the road from Yanqi Lake to Tanghekou (this section is a secondary mountain road, the whole journey is about 30 kilometers, and it takes about 50 minutes to drive), there are farmhouse hotels in the villages to attract guests, and food and accommodation are very convenient.

Tourist route 2: Lianquan Xianggu, Shentangyu Scenic Area, Huairou City

Feature: Eating rainbow trout

The first half of this route is the same as the previous one, except that it turns west after reaching Yanqi Roundabout and then drives northwest along the mountain asphalt road. Both sides of the road are full of green mountains and valleys, dense jungles and clear rivers. There are also various rainbow trout ponds (game restaurants) and resorts. Visitors can stop to eat and stay at any time.

Comments: The highlights of this route are the Shentangyu Scenic Area with its pristine and beautiful landscapes and the two famous holiday resorts "Shan Bar" and "Nali". In addition, the Lianhuachi Resort with its alternating landscapes is also worth a stay.

Tourist route 3: Qingliang Valley in Wengzhuang, Miyun River, downtown

Features: Mountains and rivers are interdependent

It takes about 2 hours to drive from the city to Miyun County via Huairou, and then drive north for 15 minutes to the Xiwengzhuang intersection under the reservoir dam. Then turn left to enter the area where beautiful scenery is gathered. This section of road is a secondary mountain road with tall poplar trees growing along the roadside, providing thick shade. The scenic spots passed in turn are Wuzuolou Forest Park, Yunmengxia Scenic Area, Taoyuan Fairy Valley Scenic Area, Jiudaowan, Heilongtan Natural Scenic Area, Kyoto First Waterfall, Elf Valley and Qingliang Valley Scenic Area. Among them, Taoyuan Fairy Valley and Wuzuolou are more innovative.

Comments: From the southern section of this line, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Miyun Reservoir to the east, and from the northern section you can see the scenery of the Baihe Canyon. There are rural hotels in the villages on both sides of the mountain road, so you can eat and stay as you like.

Tourist route 4: Diaowo Village, Pinggu District

Features: A winding road to another village

It takes about 2 hours to drive from the city to Pinggu County via Shunyi. After leaving Pinggu County, drive east to the Jingdong Grand Canyon intersection, turn north, and pass the Huangsongyu Reservoir to reach Diaowo Village. The folk customs tours here are very popular, and there are dozens of farmhouses in the village providing food and accommodation for tourists.

Comments: There are three large scenic spots in the surrounding area, namely Hudongshui, Shilinxia and Feilong Valley. Among them, Feilong Valley has high mountains and dense forests, is sparsely populated, but there is a road leading to the top of the mountain, which is most suitable for self-driving tours.

Tourist route 5: Shidu Scenic Area in the city, Yesanpo Scenic Area, Yesanpo Bailixia

Features: Picturesque landscape

It takes 2.5 hours to drive from the city along the Beijing-Shijiazhuang Expressway to the Liulihe intersection and turn west to Shidu. It takes another hour to drive southwest from the Jiudu intersection through Pudu Villa and Donghu Port to Yesanpo.

Although Shidu is a traditional old scenic spot in the suburbs of Beijing, it has an attractive new look. The Qilin Mountain Scenic Area developed in recent years is quite magnificent.

Comments: There is a Class III asphalt road between Shidu and Yesanpo in the mountainous area. Along the way, there are high mountains and deep valleys along the Juma River. It is very pleasant to drive through the mountains and valleys.
