Remediation

If there are many insects on the rice, you can also use zinc phosphide and organic acid to fumigate: on the balcony or in an unused room, put the insect-infested rice together with the bag in a well-sealed plastic bag, i.e., a fumigation bag, and then put a cup or bowl in the fumigation bag with 50 grams of vinegar inside; if the grain does not exceed 500 kilograms, wrap one gram of zinc phosphide in paper and put it into the cup or bowl of vinegar. Do not stir it and seal the fumigation bag immediately. Sealing it for 5-10 days can kill all the pests inside. After that, let the gas dissipate for 2-3 days, remove the vinegar water and discard the residue.

You can put the rice with insects in a cool and ventilated place, let the insects slowly crawl out, and then add some star anise.

Myth

People often like to expose rice to the sun. This not only fails to kill the rice weevils, but will have the opposite effect. After two or three days, the number of rice weevils in the rice will increase, and the rice will lose moisture after being exposed to the sun, affecting its taste. The correct way to do it is to place the worm-infested rice in a cool and ventilated place, allow the worms to slowly crawl out, and then sift it out.
