Everyone knows that tuberculosis is an infectious disease, and tuberculosis bacteria can be transmitted through the air. When tuberculosis patients talk loudly, cough, and sneeze, the tuberculosis bacteria they bring out will be mixed with the air. When healthy people accidentally inhale the tuberculosis bacteria, they will be infected with tuberculosis. Therefore, when a parent is diagnosed with tuberculosis, they must pay attention to isolation in terms of food and accommodation. There are three aspects to prevent tuberculosis: 1. Control the source of infection. 2. Cut off the transmission route, 3. Protect people who are vulnerable to infection. For patients whose sputum contains tuberculosis bacteria, they should be isolated and treated properly. Pulmonary tuberculosis is mainly transmitted through respiratory tract infection. When patients with pulmonary tuberculosis go out, it is best to wear a mask to prevent the tuberculosis bacteria from spreading to normal people through the respiratory tract. For those who are weak and susceptible to infection, appropriate measures should be taken if the tuberculin test is positive. How to prevent tuberculosis infection 1. After discovering that a family member has pulmonary tuberculosis, the patient can be hospitalized or not. If there are tuberculosis bacilli in the patient's sputum, it means that the patient's condition is still in the active stage and must be actively treated, and attention must be paid to isolation to prevent infection to family members. If there are tuberculosis bacilli in the patient's sputum, it means that his sputum is contagious and must be strictly managed. 2. Tuberculosis patients should not spit anywhere, because their sputum contains tuberculosis bacteria, which will fly everywhere with the dust in the air and may cause infection when inhaled by people with low immunity. They should spit on paper and burn it. This is the only way to kill the tuberculosis bacteria in the sputum. If the sputum of a tuberculosis patient is yellow, it indicates a secondary bacterial infection and anti-inflammatory treatment is also required. 3. When eating, it is best to separate the tableware used by tuberculosis patients from that of their family members, use public chopsticks, and put the dishes on a separate plate of the tuberculosis patient. Although pulmonary tuberculosis patients mainly spread the disease through the respiratory tract, we still need to pay attention to prevention in our daily lives. For family members who often come into contact with tuberculosis patients, a tuberculin test should be done. If they have close contact with tuberculosis patients and the tuberculin test is positive, preventive chemotherapy can be given. 4. Be sure to disinfect fresh milk before drinking it, because fresh milk contains bovine tuberculosis bacteria, which will be killed after high-temperature sterilization. If people drink fresh milk that has not been sterilized at high temperatures, bovine tuberculosis bacteria will enter our bodies. When our resistance is low, we may be infected with pulmonary tuberculosis. If patients with pulmonary tuberculosis do not spit out the sputum but swallow their own sputum, they may develop intestinal tuberculosis. 5. When someone in the family is diagnosed with tuberculosis, it is best to let him or her sleep in a separate room and keep the room ventilated, because tuberculosis is transmitted through the air. If you often share a room with tuberculosis patients, if you have not received the tuberculosis vaccine and have low body resistance, it is easy to be infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis and contract pulmonary tuberculosis and tuberculosis of other organs. Therefore, try not to rest in the same room with people with tuberculosis, especially pulmonary tuberculosis. 6. Make sure your child is vaccinated against tuberculosis when he or she is born. If it is delayed due to illness, the vaccination should be made later. After vaccination, the human body will develop a certain immunity to the bacteria, and when it comes into contact with the bacteria again, very mild symptoms or no symptoms will appear. Therefore, all children must be vaccinated against tuberculosis as required. 7. During the treatment of tuberculosis, if you encounter any problems that you do not understand, be sure to consult your doctor. Don't make decisions on your own. |
