There is still mud on my body even after taking a shower every day

Bathing is an essential part of everyone's daily life, especially in the hot summer, when we have to bathe almost every day. The main purpose of taking a bath is to make the body refreshed and wash away some of the dirt in the body. However, some people find that they take a bath every day and feel that there is mud on their body every day. Many times they think that they have not washed themselves cleanly. But in fact, this kind of thing on your body is due to the components of the body's dandruff, oil triad and other tissues, and sometimes it is the residue of the body's stratum corneum. It is a normal situation.

Is the mud from scrubbing in the bath as dirty as the dust from the outside?

The mud rubbed out from scrubbing your body contains dust from the outside and is equally dirty. The "mud" that makes up the body is mainly composed of dandruff, oil, sweat and dust. Dandruff is mainly caused by our body's daily metabolism cycle, and the skin on our body is constantly growing. In this way, it is natural that some aged skin "dies" and gathers on the surface of the skin and in the pores.

Oil and sweat occur because the skin and pores on the body surface breathe, and while breathing they excrete oil, sweat, etc. At the same time, people live surrounded by air, and it is normal for exposed skin to be contaminated by dust in the air.

Of course, the composition of "mud" varies from person to person due to various factors such as physique, environment, and activity experience. For example, people with oily skin have slightly more oil, and people with dry skin have more dandruff. For example, when the environment is good, there is less dust, and when the environment is hot, there is more sweat.

If it is dirty, does it need to be cleaned?

Rub your skin properly while taking a bath to remove excrement and dust attached to the skin in time. However, while rubbing off the dirt, a lot of cuticles will also be rubbed off. It takes 28 days for keratinocytes to be generated and shed. If you exfoliate too frequently, the skin will not be able to compensate in time, which is actually harmful.

The stratum corneum is the first line of defense on the skin surface. In addition to resisting external microorganisms, mechanical, physical, and chemical stimuli, it can also prevent excessive loss of water through the skin. If the stratum corneum is completely lost, the rate of water loss through skin infiltration will increase by at least 10 times.

Frequent scrubbing of the body actually removes an important physiological defense line of our skin. For some people with a history of skin allergies, this often leads to an increased chance of allergies. If the keratinized layer of the epidermis is severely damaged, the skin becomes dry, but it also becomes a weak point for attack by bacteria and harmful substances, making it prone to various skin diseases such as folliculitis and furunculosis.

Generally speaking, when you take a bath frequently, the dirt on the epidermis can be removed by a simple shower and light scrubbing. This is especially true in winter when there is less skin exposed and less sweating, so there is no need for frequent scrubbing. In the summer or when you haven't taken a shower for many days, you can rub it lightly, but not too hard. The more you rub, the cleaner it is not necessarily better.
