Don't eat expired food. Generally speaking, the "shelf life" refers to the period during which no obvious changes occur in any aspect of the food. In other words, this is a commitment made by the manufacturer - within this period, the flavor, taste and safety of the food will be guaranteed. If something goes wrong, the manufacturer needs to be held responsible. The expiration of the shelf life does not mean that the product is broken, it just means that the manufacturer no longer guarantees it. Sometimes, expired food may just not look as appealing, or not taste as good...but such food is still edible. But the problem is that it is entirely possible that there are a large number of pathogenic bacteria, which increases the possibility of getting sick after eating it. Also, you can't tell what has changed about it.

The answer to the question “Can you eat expired food?” is: eating it may not necessarily cause problems, but the possibility of problems increasing. For example, within the shelf life, only 1 out of 10,000 units may have safety issues. If you encounter this problem, you can claim compensation from the manufacturer. After the expiration date, 99 out of 100 may be fine, but if you come across the other one, you have to accept the loss.

Food spoilage is a continuous and gradual process. Food ingredients or the bacteria in them will not change according to our instructions based on the shelf life - it is not like what many people think: before the shelf life, they will stay obediently; after the shelf life, they will suddenly become poisonous. This change process is affected by production technology and storage conditions. For example, pasteurized milk will generally not grow bacteria even if it is refrigerated for two weeks; while milk that has been sterilized at ultra-high temperatures will not grow bacteria even if it is kept at room temperature for several months or even years. Even for the same food, such as pasteurized milk, the process control conditions of different manufacturers will cause the change process to be at different speeds.

Expired condensed milk can be used for the following purposes:

1. Wipe leather shoes - first use a brush to brush off the dirt on the shoe surface, then dip gauze in expired sour milk and evenly apply it on the shoe surface. After it dries, wipe it with a dry cloth. The shoe surface can be as bright as new and it can also prevent the leather surface from cracking.

2. Mop the floor - dilute the expired and sour milk with clean water, then sprinkle it on the floor and wipe it with a mop. The floor will be as bright as new.

3. Remove ink stains from clothes - first wash the clothes with clean water, then pour in expired and sour milk and rub gently to remove the ink stains on the clothes.

4. Watering flowers - If the expired milk has a noticeable sour smell, you can use it to water the flowers. To prevent the spread of bad smells, you can dig a small hole in the middle of the flower soil and bury the milk in it.

5. Wipe leather furniture - If the expired milk has a small amount of sediment, but the smell has not changed, you can use it to wipe the leather furniture to restore its gloss and repair small cracks.

6. It can not only get rid of dandruff, but also maintain hair. It would be best if you have fresh milk, which can not only remove dandruff but also restore the elasticity of the scalp.
