Can folliculitis be treated with edible salt water?

Among the many diseases in people's lives, the most troubling disease is hair disease, among which folliculitis is a very common disease. The treatment of this disease is also relatively complicated. Many factors need to be paid attention to during the treatment process, especially the anti-inflammatory drugs used to treat folliculitis should not be used indiscriminately. So, can folliculitis be treated with edible salt water?

First, can folliculitis be treated with salt water? It starts as a red, solid papule that is consistent with the opening of the hair follicle, or it starts with follicular pustule, and then rapidly develops into a papule-pustule, with the hair running through the middle, and redness and inflammation around it, followed by drying and scabbing. It heals after about 1 week of scab shedding, but there are also cases of repeated attacks that do not heal for many years. Some can also develop into deep infections, forming furuncles, carbuncles, etc., which generally do not leave scars. The number of rashes is large, isolated and scattered, and the patient feels mild pain. In adults, it mainly occurs in hairy areas, and in children, it is more common on the head. The rashes can sometimes merge with each other, and small bald spots may remain after healing. Antibiotics can be used as appropriate. 1% neomycin ointment, mupirocin ointment, fusidic acid ointment or 2% iodine tincture can be applied topically. Ultraviolet radiation can also be tried. For patients with recurrent attacks, autologous vaccine or polyvalent staphylococcal vaccine can be tried.

Second, folliculitis has many causes, and is common in patients with weakened immunity or diabetes. In addition, hair pulling, scratching, skin immersion, local honey bandages, skin damage, frequent contact with tar substances, or long-term use of tar ointments or corticosteroids, as well as frequent skin friction and other stimulation are all triggering factors of this disease. According to traditional Chinese medicine, folliculitis is mostly caused by internal accumulation of dampness and heat, which is combined with external heat evil, which fumigates the lung system and accumulates in the skin. The accumulation of dampness and heat over time turns into heat, and the flesh rots into pus. The pus and toxins flow and penetrate each other, causing the disease. It may be caused by a weak constitution, weak defenses against external heat and toxins; or it may be caused by unclean skin, invasion of wind toxins, and a stagnation of wind. Modern medicine believes that the pathogen of this disease is Staphylococcus aureus, occasionally Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus, Pseudomonas and Escherichia coli. It mainly occurs in patients with low immunity or diabetes. It is mostly due to scratching, which damages the skin. Pathogens take the opportunity to invade the hair follicles and cause inflammation. It may be related to occupation or certain treatment factors. Frequent contact with tar-like substances, or long-term use of tar-like substances or corticosteroids, as well as frequent stimulation of the skin by friction, are all risk factors for this disease. Occupational exposure to mineral oil, asphalt, coal tar, topical corticosteroid ointments, tar ointments, and wound sealing therapy can all cause folliculitis.

Can folliculitis be treated with edible saline solution? Antifungal drugs should be used appropriately. The author recommends the use of terbinafine hydrochloride solution. Of course, there is local inflammation and infection, so it is recommended to use the Chinese patent medicine compound phellodendron solution at the same time. Note that ointment cannot be applied. On the one hand, Chinese medicine believes that hair folliculitis is blood heat. Therefore, it is necessary to take Chinese medicine for conditioning. Huanglian Shangqing Tablets have a certain effect on it. However, if it is ineffective after taking it for 10 days, it is recommended to stop using it and see a Chinese medicine doctor to prevent the use of drugs. On the other hand, most of the current topical dermatological drugs are hormones, which can alleviate this treatment, but will aggravate the spread of infection. Washing your hair with sulfur cream is good for this. Sulfur cream has bactericidal, anti-inflammatory and antifungal effects, so it has a good effect. However, sulfur cream is harmful to hair, so you can use conditioner or the like after using sulfur cream. Precautions in daily life: such as avoiding irritating foods such as alcohol and chili peppers, as well as foods that are prone to inflammation such as mutton and dog meat. Drinking more water is good for this.
