Narrow forehead on both sides

Narrow forehead on both sides

Because the forehead occupies a large area on the human face, the quality of the forehead affects the beauty of a person's face. Generally speaking, good-looking foreheads are full, and people with such foreheads are more blessed. However, not everyone has a perfect forehead. Some people find that their forehead is not full, and even has narrow foreheads on both sides. So what should they do if their foreheads are narrow on both sides?

Forehead filler surgery is a cosmetic surgery method that uses delicate techniques to place fillers on the forehead, and is performed on patients with a low and narrow forehead that results in disproportionate facial proportions.

Cosmetic surgery methods.

Surgical method

The operation is performed under local or general anesthesia, with incisions made inside the hairline, inside the eyebrows, above the eyebrows, etc. For full forehead filling, a coronal incision of the scalp or bilateral temporal incisions can be made, and the filler is placed on the forehead.

Material

There are two types of forehead filling materials: soft and hard.

Soft materials are used for local soft tissue depressions, and available materials include autologous fat, Iveran injection filling, etc.

Hard materials are mainly used for bone defects and are the most commonly used to change the shape of the forehead. The most commonly used substitutes in clinical practice include expanded polytetrafluoroethylene, medical solid silicone, etc.

Indications

1. Congenital small forehead, forehead depression in the shape of a groove or a "U" shape, forehead tilted backwards and uneven.

2. The temporal region is narrow, sunken, and asymmetrical on both sides.

3. The eyebrow arch or space between the eyebrows (Yintang point) is low and flat.

4. People with large heads or faces, or high hairlines are not suitable for forehead augmentation surgery.

Surgical results

1. Silicone prosthesis filling: Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene is a new type of facial filling material with good toughness but relatively expensive.

2. Dermal fat transplantation: The dermal fat tissue is cut from the more concealed parts of the body and transplanted to the depression of the temporal region. The advantage is that the autologous tissue has no rejection and is easy to obtain. The disadvantage is that some of the fat will be liquefied and absorbed, affecting the effect, and scars will be left in the donor area.

3. Autologous fat particle injection: The principle of autologous fat particle injection in the temporal region is the same as that of fat injection in other parts. The main problem is that some of the fat will be absorbed after injection and multiple injections are required.

Postoperative Care

1. Eating more nutritious food after surgery will help with postoperative recovery. Food that is too hot will irritate the wound so it is best to avoid it.

2. If the wound is dry and has no exudate 48 hours after the operation, you can gently wash it with water. You can take a bath after two weeks.

3. Ice compress is needed 1 to 3 days after the operation: Wrap the ice with plastic film and then wrap it with a towel to avoid the incision and apply ice compress. Hot compress is needed 72 hours after the operation to help reduce swelling, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis.

Common filling methods

1. Autologous fat augmentation for forehead: Autologous fat augmentation for forehead refers to a surgical method in which fat from fat-rich parts of the human body, such as the abdomen, buttocks, thighs or upper arms, is sucked out using wet vacuum liposuction. After special processing into pure fat particles, the fat is then inserted into the defective recipient area where a prosthesis is needed to change and perfect the morphology of the recipient area. Autologous fat augmentation of the forehead has been widely used in the repair of various soft tissue defects and a variety of cosmetic treatments. The advantages of autologous fat augmentation of the forehead are: simple operation, safety, reliability and easy survival.

2. Injection method is another method of forehead augmentation besides prosthetic forehead augmentation method: injection method of forehead augmentation mostly uses autologous fat particles or collagen as fillers. These two fillers are easily absorbed by the body, so they need to be injected once every two or three months. A total of about 2-4 injections are required for forehead augmentation. The prosthesis implantation method requires surgery to place the filler under the skin. This method has better formation and can be removed intact. Forehead augmentation with prosthesis and Lido injection method are both effective and safer methods.
