Eyeballs are bloodshot

Eyeballs are bloodshot

We all know that human eyes are particularly important to the human body, but human eyes are generally composed of black pupils and white sclera. However, sometimes due to excessive or frequent rubbing of the eyes, the eye area becomes infected and some red bloodshot appears. These red bloodshot will make the patient feel as if there is something inside and feel particularly uncomfortable. So what should you do if there are too many bloodshot eyes?

1. What causes red bloodshot eyes?

Under normal circumstances, our eyes are usually white. Although there are tiny capillaries in the eyes, they are usually invisible. However, if you don't sleep well, the blood vessels will become congested and the bloodshot eyes will be more serious than usual, resulting in red bloodshot eyes. Of course, some people are born with thicker eye blood vessels than others. When our eyes are over-tired or infected, blood vessels may rupture and cause retinal hemorrhage.

2. How to treat red bloodshot eyes?

1. If bleeding spots or red blood streaks appear in the elderly's eyes, beware of arteriosclerosis, because arteriosclerosis increases the fragility of blood vessels, which can easily lead to rupture and bleeding of small local conjunctival blood vessels. Therefore, it is best for the elderly who encounter this situation to go to the hospital in time to check the fundus to see whether there is arteriosclerosis and the degree of arteriosclerosis, which can also help prevent cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage.

2. Except for the elderly, people who often experience eye bleeding, that is, those who have repeated bleeding and each bleeding disappears on its own, should also go to the hospital to check their blood coagulation function. If red blood streaks or bleeding spots appear occasionally, such as after overusing your eyes, rubbing your eyes, or raising your head suddenly, you don't need to worry too much. Generally speaking, this situation will disappear on its own in two to three weeks at most. If it is not absorbed for a long time, it is necessary to go to the hospital for examination.

3. Reading, watching TV, using computer, etc. can also make eyes tired. Therefore, we should reasonably control the time we use our eyes and improve the environment in which we use our eyes.

4. Massage method

(1) Rub your palms together until they are warm. Cover your eyes with the warm palms and move your eyeballs up, down, left, and right.

(2) Close your eyes: Use your index fingers to gently press along the brow bones until you reach the temples. Then press the temples a little harder. Then press down from the temples to the lower eye sockets until they meet the bridge of the nose.

(3) Close your eyes: Use your index fingers to rub the bridge of your nose and the sides of your nose up and down, and press the index fingers hard on the depressions on both sides of the nose.
