What causes sticky lips?

What causes sticky lips?

Generally, lips always feel sticky because of the shedding of dead skin or food residues. Remember to wash them after eating. If it is because of the shedding of dead skin, it means that you have got inflamed, so you must pay attention to your diet and make sure to eat more vegetables and fruits that can reduce inflamed body heat, and drink plenty of water, and you will feel much better.

Causes of chapped lips:

One is lack of vitamins. If the corners of your mouth start to crack and there is white secretion at the corners of your mouth, it is a sign of lack of vitamins.

The second is lack of moisture. Lack of moisture causes dry lips, which will cause dead skin to accumulate on the lips or corners of the mouth.

Improvement method: lip balm

When applying lipstick, 3-4 times a day is enough. It is not advisable to apply it multiple times. You can choose to apply it in the morning, after lunch, after dinner, and before going to bed. Before applying it at night, it is best to do it after washing your face. Use warm water when washing your face for the best effect.

Even in winter, it is best to use a lip balm with sun protection.

Get rid of the habit of licking your lips frequently. Doing so will lick off the lip balm on your lips, losing the protective layer and accelerating the evaporation of moisture on your lips.

Exfoliate your lips regularly to keep them moisturized and healthy. Remember to do this when your lips are fully moistened, such as after taking a shower, and be gentle. For normal skin, use this treatment once a week.

If your lips are very dry and peeling, you need special lip care. First, wipe your lips gently with a wet towel, then wipe off the moisture, and then apply lip balm containing ingredients such as calendula, chamomile essence, beeswax, aloe vera, tea tree oil, etc. After continuous care for a week, your lips will be restored to moisture.

If your lips are flaky, do not tear them off with your hands. Apply a hot towel to them for a while, and then apply lip balm to protect them after the skin softens.

Diet therapy for improvement

Dry weather is most likely to cause chapped skin, especially the skin on the face and mouth, which is prone to peeling. At this time, supplementing with moisturizing foods is also the best choice. The recommended ingredient is: lotus root.

In addition to weather reasons, there are also our own problems: weak spleen and stomach. A weak spleen and stomach plus the baking of indoor heating in winter can easily cause spleen cold. One of the external manifestations is chapped lips. It is recommended to eat spleen-strengthening ingredients such as yam and jujube.
