What is the reason why teeth float?

The human body is prone to some minor problems in life. For example, some people will find that their teeth are floating when they wake up from sleep. This symptom makes patients very curious and worried. In fact, when teeth float, it is often caused by bacteria or toxins entering the teeth. In severe cases, it can also cause tooth pain. So what is the reason for the floating teeth?

First, what is the reason for the floating teeth? Infection is the main cause. The infection can be secondary to deep caries and other serious tooth defects, or due to periodontal tissue diseases. The infection retrogradely enters the pulp through the root apex or the accessory root canal orifice, causing inflammation of the pulp. At the same time, hematogenous infection can also be caused. The drugs used to disinfect the cavity when treating deep caries will stimulate the pulp and cause acute pulpitis. When high-speed pneumatic electric rotation is used when drilling and grinding teeth, when the local temperature exceeds the limit that the pulp tissue can tolerate (20~50℃), the pulp tissue can become congested and inflamed. Therefore, cooling measures must be used when using a dental drill. When the tooth is traumatized, acute pulpitis can be caused.

Second, Yangming stomach heat: manifested as loose teeth, red and swollen gums, exposed gums, thirst for cold water, bad breath, constipation, red tongue, and yellow and greasy dry tongue coating. It is often caused by excessive drinking or eating spicy and hot foods, and it is advisable to clear stomach heat. The foods include watermelon, pear, winter melon, cucumber, bitter melon, and mung bean.

Third, kidney yin deficiency: loose teeth, exposed gums, dizziness, tinnitus, hair loss, thin tongue, tender red tongue, thin or little tongue coating. It is common for staying up late and having sex to seriously damage kidney essence, so it is advisable to nourish the kidney and strengthen teeth. Foods include black sesame, black beans, and mulberries.

What is the reason for floating teeth? Floating teeth are often seen in patients with kidney yin deficiency, but may also be associated with other symptoms. In addition, tooth floating is closely related to oral hygiene. If food residues remain between teeth and gums after eating, they will generate heat over time and the teeth will become loose. Therefore, rinsing your mouth after meals, picking out food residues between teeth, and brushing your teeth are also effective ways to prevent and treat tooth floating.
