What is pseudo-body odor

What is pseudo-body odor

Body odor is mainly caused by the relatively large development of sweat glands under the armpits. Especially in summer, if people wear cool clothes and the air is not circulating, a person with body odor will attract many people's contempt, so many people do not want to have body odor. But in summer, some people find that they don’t have body odor normally, but they will smell a body odor after sweating. This is pseudo-body odor. So what is the cause of pseudo-body odor?

Pseudo-body odor is generally not noticeable to other people. Its smell is relatively mild, similar to ordinary sweat odor. It will become more serious after frequent sweating and eating irritating food, and the odor will be obvious. Such symptoms are similar to body odor. Generally, surgery is not required, but you need to maintain a light diet and a happy mood while washing and changing clothes frequently. We can determine whether it is pseudo-body odor through these three basic symptoms: 1. Unpleasant odor. 2. The color and crystallization of armpit hair. 3. Check whether there are oily ears.

Body odor can be divided into mild and severe. Mild body odor is also called pseudo-body odor. If it is pseudo-body odor, the unpleasant smell may not be so serious, but if you touch your armpit with your hand, you can still smell the unpleasant smell. However, other people generally cannot feel pseudo-body odor, so many people have doubts, is this also body odor? The smell of pseudo-body odor is relatively mild, similar to ordinary sweat odor, and it will become more serious after frequent sweating and eating irritating food. If this happens, you need to: change and wash clothes frequently or go to the hospital's dermatology department for examination and diagnosis.

There are two types of sweat glands in the human body, one is the apocrine sweat gland and the other is the eccrine sweat gland. The former has a narrower distribution range, only distributed in the armpits, external auditory canal and vulva, while the latter is distributed throughout the body. The secretions of the apocrine sweat glands contain a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, which can produce small molecular organic matter with odor after being decomposed by bacteria on the skin surface. The secretions of the eccrine sweat glands are mainly various salts and water. Therefore, the production of body odor is the result of the combined action of apocrine sweat glands and bacteria.

Obvious manifestations of pseudo-body odor:

Yellow secretions: The patient's armpit sweat is sticky and yellow, and there are white or yellowish secretions on the armpit hair. Others passing by can smell a pungent odor. The odor of body odor worsens in summer and adolescence and decreases in winter. These are all general symptoms of pseudo-body odor.

Oily ears: The patient's ear canal is moist or sticky, and the earwax secreted is moist and greasy. Some mild cases may also have powdery earwax, which is commonly known as oily ears. In addition, the patient's underwear had yellowing and discoloration in the armpit area, leaving an unpleasant odor that was difficult to clean.

Crystallization of armpit hair: Crystallization of armpit hair is also one of the symptoms of pseudo-brumosmia. The armpit sweat of patients with armpit odor is sticky, the underwear has an odor and is yellow, and there are small yellow-white crystalline particles on the armpit hair or accompanied by liquid adhesions that are stickier than sweat.

Summarize:

Pseudo-body odor is generally not easy to detect, and even the patients themselves may ignore it. However, when sweating too much, the underwear will be stained yellow and the smell on the clothes will be difficult to remove. Therefore, patients should pay more attention to their hygiene habits, do preventive work in a timely manner, and avoid worsening of the disease due to improper treatment.

Pseudo-body odor generally does not attract the attention of others, but as a patient, you must do a good job of treating it yourself. For pseudo-brumodoris, surgical treatment is not recommended. You should pay attention to your daily living habits, diet, maintain a good mood, and avoid working or studying in a stuffy environment. If you stay in a stuffy environment for a long time, the symptoms of body odor will be aggravated.
