What do ducks eat

Ducks are called flat-billed in many places. Ducks have very long and flat beaks. A duck's mouth is three to four centimeters long and two centimeters wide. There are two holes in the duck's mouth, which many people think are noses. The duck's nose is used for breathing like a human's nose. There are many varieties of ducks, more than a hundred species, and ducks are distributed all over the world. Ducks belong to the Anseriformes family, the same family as swans.

After thousands of years of domestication and breeding, ducks have become a kind of poultry that everyone likes to raise. Ducks have a high egg production rate and the eggs are very large. Generally, five or six duck eggs can weigh one kilogram. Duck eggs are cold in nature and can be cooked and eaten directly. What do ducks eat during breeding?

Ducklings must have water within 24 hours after hatching. The general practice is to put the ducklings in a shallow basin of water 1 cm deep for a few minutes to let them wet their feet and drink water, which is commonly known as "drip water". The water must be fresh, clean, and the water temperature must be close to room temperature. As the ducklings grow older, they drink more water. Clean the drinking utensils frequently, replace the dirty water, and fill them with fresh water. ② Start feeding the ducklings within 24-28 hours after hatching, when all the ducklings have had some water. The latest time cannot exceed 36 hours. In the first few days after the ducklings start eating, the "feed less and more meals" system should be adopted, that is, feed them 7-8 times a day, and feed a small amount each time, but make sure the ducklings are full. In the future, let the ducklings eat and drink freely, and no artificial light is provided at night. ③ Feed: The feed for ducklings should be fresh, clean, nutritious, with moderate particle size, good palatability and easy to digest. When the ducklings are 10-15 days old, each duck is fed 500 grams of complete feed and a small amount of rice is added during the feeding process.

Adult ducks are omnivorous birds that can eat a lot of things, including small fish, small shells, fish grass, green grass, and grains. Duck feed can be bought everywhere and is cheap. Ducks can be raised anywhere as long as there is a place. Ducks have strong disease resistance and are generally not prone to illness and do not need to take medicine.
