Should I use loose powder or pressed powder in summer

In summer, the weather is hot and it is easy to sweat. It is not recommended to apply cosmetics too thickly as it may cause makeup to come off easily. In summer, be prepared to touch up your makeup at any time and try to use waterproof cosmetics. There is basically no difference between loose powder and pressed powder, both can play the role of setting makeup. Relatively speaking, pressed powder is easier to carry. The pressed powder comes in a compressed, very convenient small box, but the box for loose powder is quite large.

Commonalities:

1. Both are used for setting and touching up makeup. Use after foundation to make your makeup more clear and natural.

2. Special purposes:

Dry powder can dilute the color. When highlighter, eye shadow, blush, eyebrows, and lipstick are too pigmented, pressing dry powder on them will help dilute the color, making it lighter naturally, and prolong the makeup's durability and prevent it from coming off easily. It is an excellent remedial product.

Different advantages and disadvantages:

Pressed powder: It is compressed in a small box. It is in a pancake shape and easy to carry.

Some powders can also be used as foundation by spraying water on the sponge and then dipping it into powder. (However, this is usually used in emergency situations, and the texture of the skin applied is not as glossy as liquid foundation)

Loose powder (also called honey powder): The powder is very loose and can be spread a lot with a blow. Not as good as powder to carry.

There are more colors than pressed powder, including purple, white, skin color, blue, green, pink and so on.

(Givenchy and Guerlain often have several different colors in a box of loose powder.)

Different colors correct skin tone differently. We will talk about the functions of these colors later.

Generally speaking, loose powder is finer than pressed powder and looks more natural when applied.

The coverage of pressed powder and the durability of makeup are better. But it is more likely to become powdery.

Dry skin: In winter (not prone to oiliness and sweating), and when you want a clear nude makeup, it is better to use loose powder.

Oily skin: In summer, girls with many blemishes and girls who don’t have time to touch up their makeup can choose pressed powder.

In fact, both can be used, there is not much difference between pressed powder and loose powder.

There are a few common questions that need to be explained first: (I will refer to pressed powder and loose powder as dry powder below.)

1. Dry powder generally cannot be used directly as foundation.

(Unless your skin is in good condition and not dry. The effect is definitely not as good as using foundation, so it is recommended to use it only in an emergency when you don’t have foundation.)

When I was teaching and communicating before class, I found that many girls used dry powder as foundation on their faces.

The dry powder doesn't adhere well to the skin. If you don't apply enough, there's no coverage, and if you apply too much, the face will be covered with floating powder (some even fall off, which is scary).

There are two types of foundation used for foundation: liquid foundation and cream foundation. Liquid foundation is more commonly used in daily life, and it has good fitting, covering power, and is good. And make the skin natural and radiant.

Dry powder is mainly used to set and touch up makeup.

2. Please make sure to set your makeup. .

During the communication, I found that many girls know how to apply foundation, but they don’t set their makeup.

Foundation contains oil. After applying foundation, you can touch your face and it will feel sticky. If you don't set your makeup, the dust and dirt in the air will be absorbed by your face.

On, make the face dirty - the complexion gray. And it is easy to remove makeup. .

So no matter whether you are applying foundation or not, you must remember to set your makeup. .

3. Don’t be afraid of floating powder

Many girls don’t set their makeup because they feel that after applying dry powder, the powder floats on their faces, making them look fake.

No matter what tools and methods you use, there will be floating powder when setting your makeup, but don't be afraid. The most beautiful makeup is not right after it is applied, but about half an hour later. When the face is slightly oily and the makeup is blended together.

Girls with dry skin can try to use a brush and lightly sweep the entire face to set the makeup. The floating powder will not be very serious.
