There is a ball inside the cheek that moves

Many people always find a ball growing in their cheeks when eating and chewing, and this ball will swing back and forth. Such symptoms are mostly due to personal health. Failure to take good care of health or some diseases are the main factors causing such symptoms in the cheeks. As a patient, you should find the cause and then treat it.

Epidemic parotitis mumps, also known as mumps or mumps, is a common respiratory infectious disease among children and adolescents, caused by the mumps virus.

The prominent symptom is non-purulent swelling and pain of the parotid gland. The virus can invade various glandular tissues or the nervous system and almost all organs such as the liver, kidneys, heart, and joints. Therefore, it can often cause symptoms such as meningoencephalitis, orchitis, pancreatitis, mastitis, and oophoritis.

Diet and health care

1. Diet therapy for mumps :

1) 【Cold daylily salad】

Recipe : 30 grams of day lily and 30 grams of shredded kelp.

Preparation method : First soak the day lily in warm water, wash it and cook it with kelp shreds, drain the water, let it cool, add seasoning and mix well.

Efficacy : Clears away heat, reduces swelling and disperses nodules.

Usage : Take with meals.

2)【Mung Bean and Soybean Soup】

Recipe : 100 grams of mung beans, 50 grams of soybeans, and 30 grams of white sugar.

Preparation method : Add appropriate amount of water to mung beans and soybeans, cook until well-cooked, then add sugar and stir well.

Preventive Care

Isolate the patient as soon as possible until the parotid swelling subsides completely. Contact persons generally do not need to be quarantined, but they should be kept in collective children's institutions (including hospitals, schools), military units, etc. for 3 weeks. Suspected patients should be temporarily isolated immediately.

Mumps live attenuated vaccine: A live attenuated vaccine cultured in chicken embryo cells. It has been used in large quantities abroad since 1966. Its effectiveness in preventing infection can reach 97% in children and 93% in adults. The mumps live vaccine can be used in combination with measles and rubella vaccines with satisfactory results, and the three do not interfere with each other. Neutralizing antibodies against mumps virus can last for at least 9.5 years after immunization. In addition to intradermal and subcutaneous injections, live mumps vaccine can also be administered by nasal spray or aerosol inhalation (in an aerosol chamber), which is also effective.
