A steaming rice cooker is actually the one we use in our daily life. It can be said that rice cookers ranging from those costing several thousand or tens of thousands of yuan to those costing only a few dozen yuan all have the steaming function, which can be said to be the most basic function of an electric rice cooker. A steaming rice cooker is a must-have for every household. With a rice cooker, we can cook rice and porridge, and those who are more skilled can even use it to make soup. So how are the various functions of the steaming and cooking rice cooker manifested?

The difference between the steaming button and the soup button in the rice cooker:

The steam button is the steaming function, which is mainly used for steaming some vegetables or foods such as steamed buns, and it takes 10 to 35 minutes.

The soup button is used for making soup, mainly for stewing soup, which takes 1 to 2 hours.

Smart rice cookers refer to a new generation of rice cookers that are different from traditional mechanical rice cookers. They are controlled by computer chip programs, monitor the temperature in real time to flexibly adjust the firepower, and automatically complete the cooking process.

The rice cooker is a modern cooking utensil that can perform multiple processing functions such as steaming, boiling, stewing, simmering and braising. It can not only cook food, but also keep it warm. It is clean and hygienic to use, pollution-free, and saves time and effort. It is one of the indispensable tools for modern housework.

A kitchen appliance that uses electric heat to cook food. Its working temperature is mostly around 100°C, and it can perform a variety of cooking operations such as steaming, boiling, stewing, simmering, and braising.

The temperature control elements of the rice cooker include bimetallic temperature control system and magnetic material temperature control system. The former is not as safe and reliable as the latter. Electric rice cookers are divided into combined type and integral type according to the structure of the pot body; they are divided into low-pressure type (0.04MPa), medium-pressure type (0.1MPa) and high-pressure type (0.15-0.2MPa) according to the pressure inside the pot during use; and they are divided into direct heating type and indirect heating type according to the way of heating food.

Working principle of the rice cooker: Place the inner pot filled with food on the heating plate so that its bottom fits into the temperature-limiting medium-sensing soft magnet in the center of the heating plate. When the piano key switch is pressed, the permanent magnet below the soft magnet rises and contacts the soft magnet. At this time, the pot has not yet heated up, and the soft magnet is below the Curie temperature, showing good ferromagnetism, and can be magnetized by the permanent magnet and held at a high point. The soft magnet at the highest point drives the internal lever to connect the upper and lower contacts of the circuit, the heating element is energized and generates heat, and the food in the pot is heated up.

When the temperature of the bottom of the inner pot reaches 103±2℃ (this is the Curie temperature of the soft magnet), the soft magnet immediately senses it and loses its magnetism. Under the combined action of gravity and the internal spring, it falls from the high point, thereby driving the lever mechanism to disengage the upper and lower contacts of the circuit, disconnecting the circuit, and the electric heating element no longer generates heat, thus achieving the purpose of temperature limiting.
